AGUILON GOLF MEMBERS REPORT

The winter pairs knockout competition came to a conclusion this week with
the final being contested between the pairings of Paul Mailly and Sue
Parmenter-Phillips taking on Chris Baker and Dave Wilson, in a fine match
taken all the way to the 18th, Paul and Sue proved to be the victors winning the
title 2 up, it was well deserved as they had beaten some fancied pairings on
the way to the final.

Wednesday April 3rd – Monthly Medal

Again the wind played a part as only three players managed to better par on a
course which has not yet shed its winter coat adding to the difficulty.

1st Derek Manning 81-12= 69

2nd Bill Gibb 77-7= 70 on a card play off

3rd Kevin Manser 81-11= 70

Twos: Mike Esposito, Ann Holder 12th, George Holland, Derek Manning, Matt
Mattacola, Chris Tyler 14th, Kevin Manser, Norman Whibley 17th

Wednesday April 10th – Individual Stableford

The players once again found the weather conditions the hardest obstacle to
overcome with the relentless wind blowing many members off course,
however it did provide a close contest at the top of the field with three players
tying for first place and needing a countback to sort it out.

1st Bill Gibb 34 pts on a card play off

2nd Dave Sharp 34 pts on a card play off

3rd Lynne Whibley 34 pts
