Piecewise Word Problems PDF

This document contains three word problems involving piecewise functions. The first problem describes a cell phone plan with unlimited talk and text but charges $0.10 per text message after 500. The second problem involves dog grooming costs based on the dog's weight in three tiers. The third problem is about the price per pound of Snickers candy depending on how many pounds are purchased. Students are asked to write and graph piecewise functions to model each situation and determine costs based on given values.
