This research helped me realize a lot of things. It helped me realize that most of the
schools I want to apply to don’t offer extracurricular activities. I personally don’t mind, but it’s
definitely something important to know. Also, the schools that are the highest rank for music
care about your GPA score, which is REALLY important for me to know. They care about your
SAT and ACT and TOEFL scores too. They expect good students as well as they expect good
musicians. The Juilliard School mostly accepts students with 4.0 GPA. They want responsible
and smart people attending their school, educated people that know how to take responsibility for
their education; musical and scholarly.
I also learned that you have the option of having a double room or a single room.
Meaning, that you can either have a roommate, or not. The single rooms are more expensive, of
course. It’s also good to know that there are cafeterias and practice rooms provided in all
conservatories. Another thing I learned, is that four out of five conservatories don’t have spiritual
programs. I personally don’t mind, because I know I will be strong in my faith and relationship
with God no matter what college I attend.
This research project really expanded my knowledge on the colleges around me, and what’s
important to me.
