Read Me!
Welcome to the National Construction Code (NCC) Resource Kits. This kit provides
educational resources which can be used by teaching professions, industry association
trainers, or employers to provide an introduction and overview of both Volume One and
Volume Two of the NCC.
This kit can be read/delivered as a standalone resource, but we recommend that you
have access to the NCC (online or hardcopy) as you go through.
The NCC is free online – just visit www.abcb.gov.au and register to gain access.
This kit contains different components, including FAQs and Case Studies, which can be
tailored to the needs of the tertiary institution or organisation that is delivering it.
Teaching professions using the resources as presentations to TAFE and university
students may wish to show all of the slides in the main PowerPoint presentation to the
class. Industry association trainers that are familiar with the NCC however, may prefer
to use the ‘hide’ function of PowerPoint and simply present the slides of relevance or
particular interest. Others may wish to only show certain topics which can be found on
the table of contents within the first few slides of the presentation. The choice is yours!
For example, an introductory presentation may only focus on a few sections from the
table of contents as recommended below:
