Leopard geckos are small lizards native to parts of the Middle East and India. They have distinctive spots that develop with age and can be found in different color morphs. Leopard geckos have a detachable tail that can regenerate if dropped when escaping a predator. They require a glass terrarium of at least 10 gallons with a temperature gradient from 80-90 degrees F, a humidity of 40% or less, and a substrate other than sand to avoid injury.
