▪ Summer intern May 2017-Aug 2017
▪ Assistant Laboratory Technician Dec 2017-Present
▪ As an intern my responsibilities included assisting the animal care technicians, veterinary technicians, facility
manager, veterinarians and other Animal Care administrative staff with various daily activities in the animal
facilities. Rotated through various sections of the Animal Care Facility including cage wash, animal
husbandry, veterinary support services and surgical operations. Presented a final project on operant
conditioning in laboratory animals.
▪ As and assistant Laboratory Animal Technician I work with the veterinary staff on colony management, large
animal surgical prep and monitoring, behavioral evaluations and management, record keeping, enrichment,
physical therapy, and medication administration.

Southwick's Zoo
▪ Part-time Bird Keeper and Parakeet Attendant May 2016-November 2016 responsible for daily husbandry
tasks, education, and visitor interactions. Charged with daily behavioral enrichment design and distribution for
30+ exotic macaws. Performed daily positive reinforcement training sessions with most birds, and trained
various new tasks including vocal, physical, and veterinary behaviors.

University of Rhode Island Student Senate


▪ Elected an At-Large Representative in Fall 2014 and began serving as the Vice-Chair of the Student
Organization Advisory and Review Committee (SOARC) in Nov. 2014
▪ Re-elected as an At-Large Representative in Spring 2015 and elected as the chairwoman of SOARC in March
2015 and March 2016
▪ Elected onto the Elections committee in April 2016 and named Speaker of the Elections Committee
▪ Elected as the Finance chairwoman March in 2017 managing and allocating the $1.2 million budget.

University of Rhode Island Fisheries and Animal and Veterinary Sciences Department
▪ Teaching Assistant (TA) for the Spring 2015 and Fall 2015 semesters teaching livestock care and management
techniques at Peckham Farm once a week with cattle, poultry, sheep, goats, and swine

Student Leadership Training Program


▪ Joined the all-volunteer staff in August 2010. Have been volunteering as a Leadership Trainer, Leadership
Instructor, or Leadership Training Facilitator since then.
▪ Staffed a plethora of conferences including day, weekend, and weeklong programs. Lead workshops on skills
such as conflict resolution, communication, humor, acceptance, personal organization, goal setting, and more.

Providence Animal Rescue League


▪ Volunteer cat caretaker May 2014-August 2014. Responsibilities included cleaning the cat’s housing facilities,
providing food and water, grooming, and creating enrichment activities.

University of Rhode Island NESA Livestock Judging Team


▪ Joined the team in Fall 2014, traveled to competition at Penn State in February 2015 and University of
Connecticut in February 2016. Was elected the treasurer of the group for the 2016-2017 academic year, taking
on the responsibility of the group’s financials as we organized and hosted the annual conference.
