Guitar Course Proposal

High School students enrolled in Guitar class will learn how to play the guitar through
this course. Instruction and learning will take place through group and individual instruction.
Assessment of student learning in this course will occur throughout instruction, daily playing
assignments, and playing tests. Students will be graded on playing assignments, playing tests,
and their daily participation.
Students will use the provided materials needed to learn and succeed in this course,
which include the essential elements beginning guitar books that the school owns and the
guitars that were donated to Sterling Schools.
