Fire Doors Spec

This document specifies the minimum dimensions and material specifications for Forza Doors FD30 and FD60 timber frame doors. For FD30 frames, softwood or hardwood must have a minimum density of 450kg/m3, while MDF requires 700kg/m3. FD60 frames require hardwood with a minimum density of 640kg/m3 or MDF at 700kg/m3. Rebated frames for both FD30 and FD60 require a minimum face width of 32mm for single acting doors. Frames must have minimum depths of 70mm.

Note:
1. Timber and MDF frames to have a minimum measured density at 12% moisture content.

2. The complete Forza Doors range of approved sizes and configurations utilising the Forza
intumescent seal specification are suitable for use within the above detailed frames.

3. Head/jamb joint: Mortice & tenon or half-lapped (head twice screwed to each jamb) or
mitred or butt joint (glued non thermally softening adhesive and head twice screwed to each
jamb).

4. Architraves are optional and have no fire performance requirements.
