It is my great pleasure to recommend Smit Bhatt for master's programme at your highly
reputed university. I have known him for last four years as he was a student of Civil
Engineering in our institute. During that time, I watched Smit grow into an outstanding
individual who excels in both his academic and personal pursuits.

As Smit’s teacher and adviser, I witnessed his extraordinary ability to quickly understand
advanced Civil Engineering concepts and then adeptly apply them to real-world situations
first hand. His final year project of self-healing bacterial concrete was particularly impressive:
He did research and built a concrete that could heal its surface cracks automatically with the
help of bacteria.

Smit’s academic accomplishments are rivalled only by his personal strengths. His compassion
and charisma are beyond his years and he is well loved by his peers as well as all those who
have had the pleasure of teaching him. Whenever any of his fellow students are having a
difficult time or feeling down, he never fails to step in with an encouraging word and a smile.
