Aims:
       review indefinite pronouns : some-, any-, no-, every-, +thing, one, where
       develop students’ reading and speaking skills;
Objectives: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
    to talk about imaginary situations in the future

Class description :
      The students in this pre-intermediate class are between 13-14 years old. They are in the
third year of English, so they are familiar with the English grammar and vocabulary. They
have shown enthusiasm and they seem keen to learn new things and words. Although they
became familiarized with the English language, some of them still have poor knowledge and
pronunciation, but they try to express themselves as good as they can.

                                   STAGES OF THE LESSON
Stage1: Warm-up
Interaction: T - Ss; S-S
Timing: 5‘
   -   to introduce the students in the atmosphere of the lesson
       The teacher greets the pupils and asks them a few ordinary questions
(Who is on duty today?/What day is today?/How are you today?/What’s the weather like
today?).
Teacher checks homework, if any. (exercise 9, b and c page 73 )
Stage 2: Lead-in

Timing: 2’
        The teacher tells the students that they have a new lesson in which they will talk
about their hopes, dreams and ambitions . The teacher writes the title of the lesson on the
blackboard and the students copy it in their notebooks.
Stage 3: Introducing new material
Interaction : T-Ss, Ss – T, S-S;
Timing : 15’
Skills : reading ,speaking.
     The teacher asks students to read out loud the text and translate it. The teacher corrects
possible mistakes in their pronunciation.

      The students read and translate with their teacher’s help. The students pronounce again
if necessary.
Stage 4: Post reading

Skills : writing
      The teacher asks students to do exercise 1, page 77 from their textbook in pairs .
      The students complete the chart.
Stage 5: Speaking
Interaction : Ss-T
Timing : 10’

         The teacher asks students to give their personal answers to the question from the text.
If they can’t speak freely, they may write the answers in their neotebooks and then read them
out loud .
         The students answer the questions.

3. If someone gave you £500 , what would you buy ?
4. If you could , what would you change about your appearance ?
5. If you were prime minister or president, what would you change first ?
Stage 6: Grammar practice

          Teacher tells the students that they are going to review the indefinite pronouns .She
shows them the flip chart and asks students to fill in the missing gaps with the correct
pronoun.
          Students complete the task on their worksheets.
Stage 7: Feedback; Assigning homework

Timing : 3’
       Teacher gives some “thumbs up” to the students who managed well during the lesson,
assigning marks if possible and encourages the other students that tried to give correct
answers but failed. Teacher explains homework – exercise 2, page 77.
      Students ask questions regarding the lesson and/or the homework.
