Half Black 1

Ajax is a half-black, half-white witch being hunted by Pandora and other white witch hunters after the death of his mother. He is running through the forest trying to escape. Flashbacks show Pandora blaming Ajax for their mother's death and Ajax practicing magic with friends. Ajax finds shelter with Nathaniel and Eve, but is worried about how to save Angela after Mercury put her in a death-like sleep in exchange for three gifts from Ajax. Eve says if Ajax learned well from the white witch council, he should be able to handle Mercury's new request.

FADE IN:
SCENE 1
The silhouette of Ajax is running in a forest. He’s looking
back, worried that someone will catch him.
He looks exhausted, scared, stressed. His breathing is
heavy, and the noise of the branches hitting his legs
is very clear.
AJAX(VOICE OVER)

(heavy breathing noises along with the


sound of branches hitting his feet between
sentences)
Everything started years before I was
born… White witches and Black witches
separated themselves for their
differences. No white witch would ever
make contact with a black witch… And then,
I came along…
SCENE 2(FLASHBACK)
Pandora is taking a frame from little
Ajax’s hands, where it’s clear that the
picture he is looking to is of his mother
and her husband
PANDORA
(She’s filled with rage and looks like she’s going
to hit Ajax)
Never (strong pause) look at this frame, you hear
me?!
AJAX
(He looks at Pandora in shock, but not
scared, he’s already used to this kind of
encounter with her. He keeps eye contact
when he nods at her)
(END OF FLASHBACK)

SCENE 3
Ajax is still running, he’s looking for a
place to hide.
AJAX
(Heavy breathing noises along with the
branches hitting his feet between
sentences)
Pandora, the oldest of my half-siblings… who are all
white witches, always blamed me for our
mother’s death. Now she became a
hunter…and she’s making sure that she and
her hunters find me,(small pause) dead or
alive…
SCENE 4(FLASHBACK)
Eddie, Adira and Ajax are watching a movie (lawrence
of arabia)where Lawrence tries à trick
with a match. After watching it, they want
to try the trick, so they go to the woods
to test if the trick works
EDDIE

(In front of Ajax, smiling, a tree standing between


them where Adira is leaning on)
Do you think the trick will work?
AJAX
(looking at Eddie and frowning)
I think it depends on the person.
ADIRA
(Giving the matches to the boys)
I think Nathan is right, it depends in your state of
mind and pain tolerance.
(END OF FLASHBACK)

SCENE 5
Ajax is still running, but he finds a spot
to hide from the hunters where
Nathaniel(or Nathan) and Eve are waiting.
AJAX
(Reaching to a small hiding spot and
speaking sarcastically but at the same
time serious.)
That was fun, we should do that more
often.
NATHANIEL
(Chuckling at Ajax’s try of humour)
If it were for you, you’d kill every one of them,
don’t try to be humorous.
EVE

(Looking out for the hunters and turning back to


shout at Ajax and Nathaniel)
Shut up you two!

(Both shut up and wait for Eve’s signal of safety)


AJAX
(He doesn’t look very happy as they start
walking out of the hiding spot, he’s
pensive and is not saying much) Commented [1]: pensive= people that tend to
overthink a lot
NATHANIEL
(Looking at Ajax, and catching up with him)
Hey Ajax… Aren’t you happy that you are going to be
able to receive three gifts from Mercury?
AJAX
(still looking at the ground, his hands are now in
his pockets)

Yeah, I’m happy because of that, I’m proud of
myself. But now I don't Know how to save
Andgela, Nathaniel. Now that mercury has
put her into a death-like sleep, she’s
going to want something else from me in
return of her safety.
EVE
That’s right, but if the white witch council has
taught you well, you won't have any
problem with this new favour she’s going
to ask from you.
