1-You should know number of modem slot that you want to change .

Provisioning>MODEM function setting>MODEM port setting .

2- You should see RSLs of Modem .

Metering>current Metering .
3-You should take backup of link configuration as precaution .

Equipment Utility>Export(NE->Storage) Utility > choose Equipment Config Data> Execute> keep .

-Turn off Modem (pull it and push to 0) .

-Remove IF cable .

-Replace Modem with new one .

- Insert IF cable .

-Turn Modem on .

-If any problems in crosses occurs follow the following :

Equipment Utility>Update(Storage->NE) Utility > choose Config Data> Execute> Open saved file .
-You should see RSLs .

Metering>current Metering .

-You should wait some time to monitor RSLs and make sure that link is stable .
