Part 1: After reviewing Unit 1 Topic 2: Modal verbs, write 1 sentence using each of
the following modal verbs regarding your role as a citizen: can - could - should -
should - should - should - should - should - should have had better - I would

 You can use your phone now.


 I should call my family more often.
 I could not sleep yesterday
 You must read this letter, it's fantastic.
 You better be careful.
 We have to leave now or we'll be late.

Part 2: According to the topic Past Progress (Unit 1: Topic 3), each student must
write 5 things he was doing last night and 5 things he did not do:

 I was eating my dinner


 I was visiting my mom
 I was driving my bicycle
 I was doing yoga
 I was taking a shower

 I was not having dinner because I'm not hungry


 I was not eating last night
 I was not doing my job at the university
 I was not checking the cell phone
 I was not playing with my football friends
Part 3: Write a text about the activities you will do on a three-day trip next
vacations. Use at least two pictures related to your journey. You should write
three paragraphs:

First day
In the first week of April I will go to Santa Marta with my family, when we arrive, we can
visit the beaches of the rodadero. then we will have lunch in a luxurious restaurant
called burukuka, then we will take a walk around the city.

Second day
On our second day we woke up early to give us more time, and we visited the cathedral
church and the historical monuments. then we can continue enjoying the commerce, the
beaches and the typical foods of the city of Santa Marta.

Third day
On our last day we must wake up early to fix our travel stuff and go out and buy gifts for
our loved ones like my grandmother, my uncles, etc. Take a few final photos to make a
good memory of the trip for lunch last time in that beautiful city and get to the hotel
where we stayed to find our personal things and take a taxi to take us to the terminal to
start our journey to the City of Cartagena.
