1. Shut down the Whirlwind. 2. Remove the grease
relief fitting. 3. Apply grease Shell Alvania EP-2, or the
37-CL-02 Upper Spindle Bearing Sturtevant equivalent to the grease fitting until grease comes out
the relief fitting. Wipe off excess grease.

1. Remove the plug at the top of the spindle
shaft and thread in the lubricator. 2. Remove the
air relief fitting. 3. Apply grease, Shell Alvania EP-
2, or the equivalent to the grease fitting on the
37-CL-02 Lower Spindle Bearing Sturtevant lubricator using slow steady strokes. As grease
is forced down the center of the shaft and into
the lower bearing cavity the gauge will level off at
70-80 psi (5.0 -5.5 Bar) after each pump of the
Y N EP2 Alvania EP-2 5,000 Y Y grease gun.
