EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SPHERICAL PLANET CAN BE
SEEN WITH TWO CHARACTERS STANDING ON TOP OF IT.
ZOOMS IN:
VOICEOVER
My brother and I are twins
The characters turn to look at each other. The Emily
character is on the left and the Adam character is on the
right.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
But we actually couldn't be more
different.
ZOOM IN:
Close up of the picture that Emily is holding. It shows
Emily and Adam as babies. Adam is crying and Emily is
happy.
ZOOM OUT:
The characters are imitating the picture- Adam is
pretending to cry and Emily is laughing at him.
ZOOM OUT:
Showing the whole planet again, the planet spins to replace
the characters with a tree standing on top of the planet.
ZOOM IN:
Camera moves closer to the tree, focusing on the cocoon as
the butterfly emerges from it.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
As babies my brother would be off
exploring the world around him
The butterfly flies around and then goes behind the tree.
PAN TO:
Another butterfly is now perched on the flowers by the base
of the tree. It flies towards the cocoon, getting caught in
a flurry of leaves.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
Whereas I'd be happy to crawl
straight to my mum where I knew I
was safe.
ZOOM OUT:

The first butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The spider web platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH TWO
BRICK WALLS. IN THE CORNER OF THESE WALLS IS A BIG SPIDERS
WEB WITH A FLY STUCK IN IT.
The butterfly flies towards the spider web platform with
the camera following it. When the camera is focused in on
the platform, the butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The fly is stuck in the spider's web. A spider comes down
on a web from above. It then starts weaving more of the
web, making it bigger.
VOICEOVER
When we'd visit family, my brother
would do all the talking,
answering everyone's questions
Once the spider gets round to where the fly is the camera
zooms in on the spiders face and then in on the fly as it
tries to break free from the web.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
I'd just sit there, happy to
listen to the conversation, but
too caught up in a web of
nervousness to contribute.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The sun and clouds platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
GREEN BASE. A SUN AND CLOUDS FLOAT ABOVE IT.
The butterfly flies towards the sun and clouds platform,
with the camera following it. Once focused in on the
platform, the butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The sun is smiling, looking happy.
VOICEOVER
My brother was never afraid to
talk to teachers

The sun's smile turns into a frown, as it starts to move
behind the clouds.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
I'd go unnoticed, just quietly
doing what I was told to do,
hoping a problem wouldn't force me
to be brave and ask a question.
With the sun totally behind the clouds, a few light rays
are seen to be shining through.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform. The
house platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
HOUSE SITTING ON IT. THE HOUSE HAS A DOOR AND FOUR WINDOWS.
The butterfly flies towards the house platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The top left window is closed with the curtains partially
drawn. A pot of flowers is in the middle of the window
ledge inside.
The windows fly open. The curtains float out in the wind.
VOICEOVER
My brother was able to talk to
strangers, happy to do things like
order is food at a restaurant
PAN TO:
The top right window has one window open and the other
closed with the curtains open.
The window is slammed shut and the curtains are drawn.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
I was scared I'd say the wrong
thing. I'd stay quiet and ask my
mum to speak for me.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The pen and paper platform comes into view.

EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
TABLE IN THE CENTRE. ON THE TABLE IS A PIECE OF PAPER AND
SOME STATIONARY.
The butterfly flies towards the pen and paper platform,
with the camera following it. Once focused in on the
platform, the butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The paper is blank. The pen on the right of the paper moves
towards the paper and starts drawing the outlines of
different shapes onto the paper.
VOICEOVER
Playing together as children, my
brother was always the leader
After the shapes are drawn the pen goes back to where it
was. The pen of the left of the paper moves towards the
paper and starts colouring in the shapes.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
And I was happy to follow him.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The speaker platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH TWO
SPEAKERS SITTING ON IT.
The butterfly flies towards the speaker platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The speaker on the right starts to smoke and sparks come
flying out of it.
VOICEOVER
I was always told to speak up
because of how quietly I was
talking
PAN TO:
The speaker on the left has sound waves comes out of it and
is vibrating from the loud volume.

VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
But my brother was loud and was
never told to speak more quietly.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The birds platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
TREE ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. BIRDS ARE FLYING IN THE SKY
AND THERE IS A BIRDS NEST WITH TWO BIRDS SITTING IN IT
PERCHED ON THE TREE BRANCH.
The butterfly flies towards the birds platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The birds fly in the sky, swooping down and around.
VOICEOVER
My brother was popular at school
because he found it easy to make
friends.
The birds fly past the birds nest. One of the birds swoops
down a drops a worm into the beak of one of the birds
sitting in the nest.
The birds in the nest chirp at each other.
VOICEOVER (CONT'D)
I found it harder, happier with my
one or two best friends.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The boat platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM COVERED IN
WATER. A BIG OCEAN LINER SITS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. YOU CAN
SEE FISH AND A DOLPHIN UNDER THE WATER.
The butterfly flies towards the boat platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:

The dolphin jumps out of the water and the fish swim around
under the water.
A little rowing boat comes out from behind the ocean liner
and rows away from it. It goes over a few waves.
VOICEOVER
When my brother and I went to
different schools, I was suddenly
on my own and I had to learn how
to be independent.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The lion platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
AFRICAN TREE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. A LION STANDS IN THE
MIDDLE.
The butterfly flies towards the lion platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The lion is looking around and then roars in the direction
of the camera.
VOICEOVER
In hindsight, I was lucky that we
went to different schools as it
forced me to be brave.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The bendy road platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH A
BENDY ROAD RUNNING DOWN ITS CENTRE. A COUPLE OF SIGNS CAN
BE SEEN ON THE ROAD.
The butterfly flies towards the bendy road platform, with
the camera following it. Once focused in on the platform,
the butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
From the p.o.v of a car driving down the road caution and
warning signs pop up along the road.

VOICEOVER
I was unsure about making new
friends, not knowing how to
approach people, I was always too
cautious.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The turtle platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH SAND
AND WATER AS ITS BASE. A TURTLE SITS IN THE CENTRE OF THE
PLATFORM. A SANDCASTLE AND CRAB CAN ALSO BE SEEN ON THE
SAND.
The butterfly flies towards the turtle platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The turtle's head is inside its shell. Slowly the turtle's
head comes out of its shell. Meanwhile the crab scuttles
along the sand.
VOICEOVER
Once I was able to make friends, I
came out of my shell.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The peacock platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH THREE
TREES ON IT. IN THE MIDDLE STANDS THE PEACOCK.
The butterfly flies towards the peacock platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The peacock is walking around the platform, once faced
towards the camera, the peacock opens up its feathers.
VOICEOVER
These people are now my best
friends, I learned to express
myself. I was able to be my own
person.
8.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The mountain platform comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- A SQUARE PLATFORM WITH TWO
MOUNTAINS. ON THE MOUNTAIN ON THE RIGHT YOU CAN SEE A FLAG
AT ITS PEAK AND A SILHOUETTE OF A MAN.
The butterfly flies towards the mountain platform, with the
camera following it. Once focused in on the platform, the
butterfly flies out of shot.
ZOOM IN:
The flag at the peak of the mountain is moving in the wind
and the silhouette of the man is raising his arms in
triumph.
VOICEOVER
This experience showed me I'm able
to overcome difficulties. I do
still see myself improving as I
get older.
ZOOM OUT:
The butterfly reappears as you see the whole platform
again. The spherical planet comes into view.
EXT. SUSPENDED IN WHITE SPACE- THE SPHERICAL PLANET CAN BE
SEEN WITH THE TWO CHARACTERS STANDING ON TOP OF IT.
The butterfly flies towards the planet, with the camera
following it.
ZOOM IN:
The characters are standing on top of the planet. The
butterfly comes to rest on top of the butterfly logo that
is on the t-shirt that Emily is wearing.
VOICEOVER
I don't see my shyness as a bad
thing necessarily, it's part of
who I am and what makes me, me.
