1) Mabini College of Batangas has a bridging program for students from different strands entering their BSBA and BS Education programs. 2) For the BSBA program, students must take an admission test - those scoring 50% or above will take additional accounting, management, and other business subjects, while those below 50% must take additional communication and math subjects. 3) For the BS Education program, students from certain strands must take the admission test, with those scoring 50% or above taking specified bridging courses, and those below 50% enrolling in additional communication, research, and critical thinking subjects. Credentials will be evaluated for fitting the new general education curriculum.

BRIDGING PROGRAM FROM SHS TO COLLEGE


Program Required Bridging Program for Students from Different Strands When to Take
Strand
BSBA ABM 4th year graduates prior 2016, shiftees, transferees and returning students from different courses
will be required to take Admission Test.

If the student’s score is 50% and above she/he will be required to enroll: To be taken as additional subjects/s
Subjects: for 1st year college AY 2019 –
Fundamentals of Accountancy 1 & 2 - 6 units 2020 and/or Saturday class.
Organization and Management – 3 units
Business Mathematics – 3 units
Principles of Marketing – 3 units
Personal Development – 3 units
Business Finance – 3 units
Should the student’s score fall below 50% additional subjects are required to be taken:
Subjects:
Oral Communication – 3 units
Reading and Writing – 3 units
Credentials submitted will be evaluated by the Registrar if description fits in with the new GE
curriculum for unit crediting or he/she maybe required to enroll under the new GEC.
BSBA ABM All students from the different strands will be required to take Admission Test to be administered To be taken up April 22, 2019
by the Registrar/Guidance Counselor or administrative staff assigned for the purpose. onwards during registration period
If the student’s score, is 50% and above, the student will be automatically enrolled as regular
First Year College, BSBA Course.
If the student’s score, (regardless of strand) is 50% and below, student is required to enroll:
Subjects:
Business Mathematics – 3 units To be taken up during the first
Organization and Management – 3 units semester effective AY 2019-2020 &
Fundamentals of Accountancy 1 & 2 – 6 units summer 2020

BS Education HUMSS & For ABM Strand and other different strands and track Saturday Class – 1st semester
GAS AY 2019-2020 onwards
If student’s score is 50 % and above, the student will be required to take up:
Subjects:
Trends, Networks and Critical Thinking in the 21st century – 3 units
Introduction to World Religions and Belief Systems – 3 units

BS Education HUMSS & 4th year graduates prior 2016, shiftees, transferees and returning students from different courses
GAS will be required to take Admission Test.
To be taken as additional subjects/s
If students score is 50% and above, he/she will be required to enroll: for 1st year college AY 2019 –
Subjects: 2020 and/or Saturday class.
Oral Communication – 3 units
Reading and Writing – 3 units
General Mathematics – 3 units
Reading and Critique of Different Research Text – 3 units

If the student’s score is 50 % and below, he/she will be required to enroll:


Subjects:
Oral Communication – 3 units
Reading and Writing – 3 units
General Mathematics – 3 units
Reading and Critique of Different Research Text – 3 units
Creative Nonfiction – 3 units
Trends, Networks and Critical Thinking In the 21st Century Culture – 3 units

Credential submitted will be evaluated by the registrar if description fits in with the new GE
curriculum for unit crediting or he/she maybe required to enroll under the new GEC.
