Work Description:
 Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
 Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
 Promotes safe practices at the job site.
 Enforces safety guidelines.
 Trains, carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
 Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
 Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandated by regulations.

 Conduct regular inspections for unsafe practices and conditions and ensure
prompt corrective action to eliminate causes of accidents.
 Work in cooperation with other project supervisory personnel to determine
safe practices, enforce their observance, develop procedures for dealing with
violations and develop other general safety and accident prevention
measures.
 Provide each employee with information about the hazards of his/her job and
how to avoid them.
 Maintain housekeeping standards and assign definite cleaning and organizing
responsibilities to individuals.
 Enforce all established safety legislation and work methods. Take disciplinary
action when necessary to ensure compliance with the rules.
 Provide a minimum of one toolbox meeting a week with their crew and record
minutes on the prescribed form
