Misc. 1) The brake Lining should not make
squeaking noise and should be free from
brake grabbing.
2) Linings should match to existing in use
brake shoes. (TVS Griling).
3) Each brake pad should have wear
indicator strip on both sides.
4) Part no., brand, grade, etc. to be printed
on either side of wear indicator strip as well
as on inner surface of each brake pad.
5) Approximate dimensions for reference
are as follows :
Width = 200 mm
Thickness = 22.1mm(Max.)/17.5 mm (min)
(Tolerance : +/0.2 mm)
Rivet hole diameter = 7 mm
Rivet head counter bore diameter =13 mm
6) There should not be abnormal wear/
scoring of brake drum causing damages to
the brake drum after the use of these brake
linings. If so, the cost of the brake drum
will be recovered.
7) Life extracted must be minimum 60,000
kms. on undertaking buses in the Mumbai
city operating conditions.
8) Set of 08 Nos. i.e. one bus set.
