When we want to express permission, prohibition (not allowing something), obligation or no obligation
we use modal verbs.
Modals, modal verbs, modal auxiliary verbs, modal auxiliaries are helping verbs which are used together
with the other verbs to express permission, obligation and prohibition.
Uses of Modals
1. Permission
Modal Examples

Could Could you bring this to the office tomorrow?

2. Obligation

Have to I have to work on Sunday.
Must I must hand my thesis tomorrow.
3. Prohibition
Modal Example
