 Make a picture puzzle of sand and gravel.
Show video on flour sifting.
Where can we find these products?(sand and gravel)
Why do you think we need sand and gravel?

Set classroom standards before group activities.
Recall group rules.
Have each group work on the following:
(Note: Let the leader look for their group task in the sand).
    Group 1 – In the Box
    Group 2 – We Can Do It
    Group 3 – Writing Prompts
    Group 4 – Song Writers

   sand, gravel, strainer, scooper, tray

            What to do:                                                  sand
            1. Prepare the materials needed                              gravel

            2. Get at least two scoops of sand and gravel                scooper

            3. Pour the sand and gravel in the strainer                  apron
            4. Gradually shake the strainer. (Put a tray under the       eye protector
            strainer)
            NOTE: Make sure to use your apron and eye protector
            before doing the activity.
