once
• Voice Over supports ELL students
• Supports students with disabilities
• Supports Students with attention disorders
Lesson idea implementation:
The teacher will start the lesson by telling the students about the day’s content. For Example, “Okay children
today we are going to learn about shapes! Can someone tell me a shape?” The teacher will allow students to
raise their hand and answer the question. The class will have a quick discussion on shapes. Then the teacher
will show the students the PowerPoint Presentation and allow them to guess the shapes on each slide.
After the presentation, students will be put into groups and will be given a laminated card with a specific
shape on it. Each group’s mission will be to analyze the shape and discover its attributes. Each group will be
given a laptop. They will be instructed to open Microsoft Word, and will use a word document to type the
attributes of the shape. Then, the groups will be paired with another group and compare their shapes with
the other group’s shapes. After the groups discuss, each group will describe their shape’s attributes to the
class. The lesson will wrap up with one more class discussion on shapes. The teacher can ask things like “What
did we learn today, class?” which will help lead the students into the discussion of attributes and shapes. To
assess the students, the teacher will be taking anecdotal notes on how the groups describe their shape. The
entire lesson will take 15-20 minutes to complete. The next lesson will extend the student’s learning to a
higher learning level, as in the lesson they will be given attributes and has to match them to the correct
shape.

Basic Productivity Tools (BPT)
Reflective Practice:
The activities created could impact students learning by allowing them to learn to collaborate with their peers
and how to use Basic Productivity tools, like Microsoft Word, to collaborate and create a list. To further
extend the lesson, the groups of students will be shown a Word Document created by another group that
includes the attributes of a shape, and they have to guess the certain shape based on the attributes given.
