The document discusses design issues with Type IV quarters and G+12 quarters buildings at Gandhigram. It notes that the spacing between isolated footings is too small and can be converted to combined footings or optimized. The design calculations for a combined footing do not match the 3D model. For the G+12 quarters, the time period used in earthquake load calculations needs correction, minimum column sizes should be 450mm, and the uniform distributed load intensity for wind load in the model requires change.

Type IV Quarters at Gandhigram

1. Spacing between isolated footing is very less, can be converted in combined footing or

sizes can be optimized.

2. Design calculation data of combined footing doesn’t match with model.

3. In plinth beam layout, plinth beam for balcony need to be provided.

4. Beam detailing to be shown in proper sketch and plan for slab detailing need to be shown.

G+12 (Type 2 & Type 3) Quarters

1. Time period in earthquake load calculation to be corrected.

2. Minimum column sizes need to be kept 450mm.

3. Change in intensity of UDL for wind load applied in the model.
