Andaman & Nicobar Island
(Port Blair – Havelock – Neil)

27 members of Rotary Club Kochi went to Andaman and
Nicobar on a leisure trip accompanied by two guides of
Infinity Travel Consultancy for 06 days.
DAY 1 (21st May 2018): Early morning 4:30 all 27
members assembled in Cochin International Airport to pick
the flight to Bangalore at 5:30 am. After check in and other
formalities two accompanying guides gave a brief explanation about the trip. At last 5:40 the group
started the journey to Bangalore in IndiGo 6E 521flight. It was a nice journey about 1 hour, all
passengers were in half sleep. The flight landed in Kempagauda International Airport Bangalore
at 6:50 am. After baggage collection all group went for Breakfast. By 10:30 am the group proceed
to check in counter for the 12:10 pm GoAir G802 flight. After all formalities we departed from
Bangalore Kempagauda International Airport at 12:20
pm. It was an amazing flight above the Indian Ocean. The
tourist who got window seats can enjoy the blue ocean
view. After 2 hour fly we landed in the Veer Savarkar
International
Airport, Port
Blair. This is the one and only functioning airport in the
Island controlling by Indian Air force. After baggage
collection we proceed to hotel for check in. About 3:00
pm the group check in to the Hotel Sea view Residency.
Group had their late lunch at the hotel. After getting
ready at 5:00 pm the group went to Marina Park.
Marina Park houses the Aberdeen jetty, water sports
complex a lot of seaside restaurants and a huge
Fisheries aquarium etc. After visiting Marina Park we
tried some ethnic costal cuisine of Andaman from the
sea side restaurants. Andaman has early sunset
because of that we went back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 2 (22nd May 2018): On second day of tour,
after breakfast group went to Cellular Jail also
known as KALAPANI.
Cellular Jail, located at Port Blair, stood quiet
observer to the torments distributed to the freedom
warriors, who were detained in this prison.The jail,
accomplished in the year 1906 assimilated the title
‘Cellular’ for it is completely finished up of separate chambers intended for the lonely
imprisonment. It initially was a six plus one protracted construction with middle-tower stand-in as
its pivot and a huge construction including honeycomb like passageways. The construction was

Later Independence in 1947, a large number of the
previous Partisan Prisoners visited the Island. Their
association-“Ex-Andaman Political Prisoner’s

Memorial without making any broad charge. The
Memorial was dedicated to the country by the then
Prime Minister of India on eleventh February
1979. After roam around Cellular Jail group moved to
shopping area inside the Jail premises, we spent almost
1 hour for purchasing souvenirs. Also we collected
ticket for evening light and sound show which held in
Cellular Jail. 12:30 pm group had lunch at Ruchi restaurant, one of the best restaurant in Port Blair.
After lunch the group went to Aberdeen jetty to catch ferry to Ross Island.

Ross Island arranged simply 2.5 kilometers east of Port Blair. It is an island which was previously
the administrative head office of the British,
however as of now is just a fruitless island that is
perceived solely for its engaging quality and
beautiful sights. Ensuing a tremor that crush the
Ross Island in the year 1941, the British left the
island and moved their settlement to Port Blair.

life of convicts when Cellular Jail was active. The
light and sound show takes place both in Hindi and
English. It's a necessity watch show in the
Andaman, and is appealing good. Post conclusion
of the show the group went back to hotel. Overnight stayed at hotel.

DAY 03 (23rd May 2018): On 3rd day of tour, after breakfast the group went to Andaman port to
catch ferry to Havelock Island. We departed from
Port Blair at 11:30 am. After 1:30 hour journey
the group reached Havelock Island at 1:00 pm.
We had lunch from port restaurant and proceed
to Havelock Holiday Beach Resort. After check
in tourists took rest at their respective rooms.
Evening 4:30 pm we went to Radhanagar Beach
to see sunset. Radhanagar beach located 12 kms
from the resort. After 20 minutes journey we reached the destination on time.
Radhanagar beach considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of Asia, Radhanagar Beach or
Beach No. 7 is extremely shocking beach located on the striking Havelock Island. The turquoise
blue sea and white sand make this beach a picture-perfect destination to relax in the middle of
nature's bounty. The swanky and leafy trees on the side of beach offer tourists chance to relax and
delight the calmness and nature's charisma. The
magnificent view of sunset on this beach marks
the tourists overlook all the despairs of life.
After sunset we spend some more time in the
beach and back to hotel. Ethnic Andaman
cuisine included in the dinner along with Kerala
food at the Havelock Holiday Beach Resort
restaurant. Later we had a camp fire session with music and dance. Overnight stayed at resort.

DAY 4 (24th May 2018): On fourth day morning, after breakfast group went to Havelock jetty to
catch boat to Elephant beach.
Elephant Beach is a perfect destination for
water sports activities and for relaxation tour.
Tourist will be in a world apart when on this
beach situated in Havelock Islands. Its rich
coral reef arrangement and wonderful
subsurface marine life will surely captivate
you and want you to keep coming back for
more. Elephant beach is nonetheless the best
place to visit in Andaman Islands and you will catch a lot of domestic and international tourists
here.
It was a nice and adventurous boating through blue colored sea. We spend 3 hours in Elephant
Beach meanwhile group members tried snorkeling and
sea walk there. At 12:30 pm the sky turned to black and
there was a chance for rain. Within 30 minutes the group
left the place and proceed to Havelock jetty. Around
1:30 pm we reached hotel and had lunch there. It was a
delicious lunch with multi cuisine food items. Later we
took rest up to 4:00 pm. After Hi Tea we went to Kaala Pathar Beach, this is the last destination in
the Havelock schedule.
Kala Pathar Beach is a minor and attractive beach in the Island. This fabulous shore has golden
sand cradles and turquoise blue water. The beach deceits near to the township of Kala Pathar hence
it springs its title from the beach. You will be
overwhelmed by the spectacular picturesque
attractiveness of the beach. You can spend an
excessive time at the beach. Strolling at the beach
would be more fun. You will fell the cool waft
prickly through your hair. Walking on the lenient
sand detecting the landscapes of the Kala Pathar is
another relaxation activity. The beach is less packed making it the best place for those who love

peace and tranquility. The black rocks that lie along the coastlines make a bright contrast with the
silvery sand. Green thick woods enclosed the beach from all sides. You can transmit a hammock
and bind it with a tree. Inactive in the hammock and
watching the spectacular beach views is a countless
recreational activity. The coconut groves along the beach
promenade present a remarkable sight.
By 6:45 we went back to resort and had delicious dinner
setup by the resort chef at the restaurant also the dinner
included marvelous culinary arts performed by the
kitchen staff. After dinner we had a meeting to discuss about the trip and to get suggestion from
the group. Overnight stayed at resort.

DAY: 05 (25th May 2018): On fifth day of the trip, after breakfast group went to Havelock jetty
to catch ferry to Neil Island. At 9:30 am the group departed from Havelock jetty.
Neil is a little however alluring island located 37
Kms toward the south of the Andaman Islands, with
new coral reefs, splendid bio-assorted variety, silver
tarnished seashores and hot forest and foliage, it is
one of the hot places of interest in the Andamans.
Neil Island is marked as the 'vegetable bowl' of the
Andamans. The pioneers named the shorelines after
unbelievable characters of the chivalrous Ramayana (Bharatpur, Laxmanpur, Sitapur, Ramnagar
and so forth.) The island, with its peaceful emotions and since quite a while ago, detached
shorelines is a goal to relax after the "action" of Havelock.
After 1.5 hour sail we reached Neil jetty at sharp 11:00 am. After collecting baggage group proceed
to Sea Shell Resort. After check in group had lunch
from the restaurant.
After Hi Tea group went to Laxmanpur Beach to
watch sunset. The quiet beach of Laxmanpur deceits
2.5 km north of the Neil jetty. The beach is an
extensive branch of white shell sand with narrow
water and offers a noble snorkeling choice. Sunbathing and swimming are different exercises. One
can see tremendous sun-set from this shoreline. After dusk we burned through one more hour and
returned to resort. Medium-term remained there.

DAY: 6 (26th May 2018): On the last day of trip, early morning we went to Ramnagar Beach for
sun raise. Ramnagar Beach is one of the best destination for sun raise. We spent almost 1.5 hour
there and back to resort for breakfast. 9:30 am we went to Neil jetty to catch ferry to Port Blair.
After 2 hour journey sharp 11:30 am group reached Port Blair and proceed to Veer Savarkar
International Airport. Later 1:55 pm we departed from the Untouched Paradise by Vistara UK 833
flight to Chennai International Airport. It was an amazing trip and we were so sad to leave the
place. After 2 hour flight we reached Chennai International
Airport and proceed to baggage collection. Later we had
lunch from Women cafeteria running inside the Airport
premises. After lunch we had a group photo session then we
proceed to check in. Sharp 5:30 pm we departed from
Chennai International Airport to Cochin International Airport. Flight landed Cochin International
Airport after 1 hour fly at 6:30. Here we wind up 6 days Andaman trip with a lot of memories.
