My Expectation From The Student Teaching Program

MY EXPECTATION FROM THE STUDENT TEACHING PROGRAM

As a student who is currently taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education, I am

expecting a lot of things in this student teaching program. Student teaching program as

far as I know is the training field of every future educators. In this program, I am

expecting that a future educator will experience a lot of things inside a diverse classroom.

As a practice teacher, it will serve as a big opportunity for me because in this training

field, we can feel of what is really like to be a real teacher.

Different attitudes, behaviors and personalities will greet me in this training

program. I am expecting this because all the students inside a classroom have different

religions, beliefs, customs and traditons. It will serve as a very challenging part to me

because I will deal with their different behaviors but I know that these challenges that I

will face will give me lessons and will test how far can I control my patience if I am

really strong enough. I know the students are different especially financially, I want to

test myself on how I am going to cope up with these challenges. The experience that I

will acquire from this program will give me additional knowledge on how to be a real

teacher in the future because everything that I will do in my practice teaching is the start

of my journey as a future teacher. I believe that after this program, it will mold and shape

me as an effective teacher in the future. They said that “ Experice is the best teacher” and

I really agree with that belief. Through this experience, I can monitor what kind of a

teacher is me. Also I know that it is not enough for me that I will only demonstrate in

front of my classmates and my instructor but training outside will give much pleasure to

really love teaching.

In additional, I am also expecting that my cooperating school will welcome us

gratefully especially my cooperating teacher because I know that in my training days,

only my cooperating teacher will help me what to do and how I am going to start with

this training. Besides, I am expecting that my cooperating teacher will be a mother-like to

me to always support, guide, and lift me up. I know that in this journey, my cooperating

teacher will also be the one to make me as an effective teacher. Although I had learned a

lot of knowledge during my previous years in the campus, this time I will grow more by

the help of my cooperating teacher. I will expect that through the times of my failure, I

can easily stand up and fight back. I really belive that after this training, I will be able to

mange myself first in front of my students and how to teach eefectively because the

teacher is the great factor in this field. Without teachers, the world is like a blind person

who can see things properly. After all, I can see myself effectively teaching and dealing

with the different students in these 60 days of training.
