Position Summary:
These positions are within Cognizant Digital Operations (CDO), which is one of the fast-growing units
within Cognizant, providing offshoring and consulting services to clients. BPS operates across multiple
industry segments – Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Products
Resources & Technology and Communication, Information, Media & Entertainment.
These roles are part of a fast-track career development program, whereby resources would be
rotated across a variety of functions to provide wholesome exposure and learning. Potential areas of
deployment would be Process Excellence, Transition, Business development & solution identification,
Process consulting and Operations management.
Roles such as Process Consulting, Transition and Process Excellence may also involve travel to client
locations onshore. Such stints would ensure additional exposure and learning for the candidate.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The job responsibilities would vary based on the function of deployment. A high-level understanding
is provided below:
Operations Management
Interact with Client and ensure seamless project delivery
Identify business development opportunities and communicate them to senior management
Ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations, adherence of SLA and achievement of key
performance indicators/project milestones
Business Development
Create and Manage data repository for BD activities
Proposal development and presentation where necessary
Market research and lead generation activities
Cognizant Research Center – Senior Research Analyst
Incumbent will engage in strategic research, using mostly secondary data sources to execute
research assignments in the areas of:
o Company profiles
o Competitor intelligence
o Market-entry strategy
o Industry / sector overviews
o Technology overviews
BFS CTB
BAs/SBAs are responsible for the developing functional requirements through use cases and
process documentation and through defining and supporting key users through user acceptance
tests. A BAs/SBAs will also be responsible for providing support and training of the end users.
Specific responsibilities include;
Assisting in requirements gathering using a variety of basic techniques
Analyzing current processes and recommending improvements
Analyzing data quantitatively and qualitatively, conducting data verifications as needed, and
providing analytical and reporting support for current programs
Demonstrates knowledge of test strategies, plans and execution
Provides day-to-day support of end users
Demonstrates basic understanding of project lifecycles, project management methodology
and technology and applications within own enterprise
Experience in a Capital Market Operations line role in the Capital Markets industry (Banking,
Capital Markets, Insurance) with Investment Banking processes knowledge.
Prior experience in documenting business processes and test & conversion plans.
Experience with data flow development, data quality management and /or data remediation.
Basic understanding of the phases within the general project life cycles and project
management methodologies and solutions
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to liaise with and influence.
