Duncan One Word Activity English II

First days present a fresh start. You can let


your past define you, or you can define your
future. This activity requires you to be
honest, reflective, and optimistic.

Step 1: Brainstorm as many adjectives as you can


that would describe you. List them here.

Step 2: Review all of the words in your


list. Circle ONE that you want to make
your “One Word.”

Step 3: On the paper provided, use a


pencil to sketch/design your word.
Then choose different mediums,
colors, images, and shapes to turn
your word into art.

Step 4: Write a paragraph here explaining why you chose your “One Word” as well as what
meaning it will hold for you this semester. Use the back side of this paper if you need more
room. (Does it describe you? How will you use it to guide you? What steps will you follow?)
