what is CPEC ?
The Abbreviation of ‘CPEC’ is
“CHINA PAKISTAN ECONOMIC CORRIDOR”
As the Name implies that it is a Project between two PAKISTAN and CHINA
ECONOMIC means that concerned with condition of a region or group as
regards material prosperity.
CORRIDOR means a belt of land linking two other areas or following a road
or river
INTRODUCTION OF CPEC
Pakistan is located at a region which is strategically important for world
trade.
It provides the shortest link to China for Middle Eastern and European
countries.
China relies heavily on Middle Eastern nations to fulfil its energy
requirements.
It has planned to invest $46 billion for CPEC.
This is one of the big investments China has ever done in a foreign
country.
The current trade route from China to Europe and Middle Eastern
countries is expensive, long and unsafe.

Major projects under CPEC are:
Gawadar Port,
Upgrading of Karachi to Peshawar main line Khunjerab Railway
Karachi-Lahore Motorway (KLM)
Hazara Motorway
Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline
Economic corridor support force
Upgrading of Gawadar international Airport.
Jhimpir wind Power Project.
Havelian Dry Port.

OVERVIEW OF CPEC
This topic preliminary revolves around the importance of delivery time
and cost of transportation in logistics.
It includes the activities of order processing, warehousing, and
transportation.
The first part is transport, for example, vehicle either its truck, van, rail,
ships, airplane.
The second most important part is infrastructure on which transport runs
smoothly, for example, roads, highways, sea ways, air ways.

Pakistan should develop the training centers and Chinese language
centers in order to make effective communications

Restriction on that commodities which is harmful for our industries.
Companies should choose the new CPEC route because it is cost efficient
in terms of shipping cost and transit time.
