California Bearing Ratio (CBR) Test Result

This document summarizes the results of a California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test conducted on sub-grade material from the Kanakpura road service road in Sarakki ward. Three mould specimens were compacted to 98% of the maximum dry density and optimum moisture content obtained from a modified Proctor test. The CBR values at 2.5mm and 5.0mm penetrations were then determined from load-penetration curves. The soaked CBR value of the sample tested was found to be 8. Specifications are also provided for widened portions of the road, including granular sub-base and wearing course layers.
