Trending Now
Trending Now presentations are 8-10 minute presentations given by a group of three students aiming to bridge the
gap between traditional and modern public relations. Presentations require a thorough explanation of the topics,
along with visual aids consisting of screen grabs or virtual tutorial through the software. Students will also need to
explain the value of their desired topic in the public relations industry. Note: Student suggested topics will be allowed
at the discretion of the firm director and firm advisor.

Internship
If a student is engaged in an internship (working a minimum of five hours per week), he or she may give an eight-
twelve-minute presentation on the allotted presentation day to explain the nature of the internship so as to educate
the other students. This must be a professional presentation with tactical examples included. The management team
will vote if the presentation warranted two development points.

Campaign
This is the end result of the semester. Your group will summarize your experiences for the class in your final
presentation. Your completed Strategic Look is due at the time of presentation (unless otherwise agreed upon) and
must meet all requirements and be error-free. NOTE: Your client’s satisfaction (of yourself and your group) will be
ascertained as will the satisfaction of your account manager (of you as an individual employee). You will be required to
evaluate your account executive and your co-staff members as well. Rebecca will then review all grades for fairness
based on comments of others and they will weigh into your grade as noted. HINT—YOU MUST STAY IN CONSTANT
CONTACT WITH YOUR EXECUTIVE THROUGHOUT THE SEMESTER!!!!

Experts
Throughout the semester each expert will give at least one presentation regarding their area of focus. The research
expert will inform the class on research techniques and findings in the field of public relations. The writing expert will
educate the class on different writing styles, common mistakes and how to structure written materials according to AP
style. The design expert will help teach the class how to properly use Adobe programs, such as InDesign and the best
design practices. The sustainability expert will update the class on previous campaigns and explain how the work is
continuing.
