Dear Mrs. Chua


As a graduating honors A B English Major at University of Santo Tomas , I have a very strong
interest in pursuing a teacher career. With experience working at both elementary and high
school levels, as well as in activities outside of the traditional classroom, I have a diverse
background with much to offer.
My first classroom teaching experience was during college when I served as volunteer
elementary school religion teacher. In addition I work for the City government when I was
working in the City Hall.
I have student teaching experience at the first and Fourth grade levels in both sub urban and
urban school districts. During these working experience, I particularly enjoyed working for
children. My careful preparation of lessons allowed me to break down complicated concepts to
simple examples that my young students could grasp, which was both rewarding for me and for
my students.
Your school also strives to engage students in the larger community. I have lots of experience
incorporating community service projects into my classroom. For example I led a unit for third-
graders on plant life, and we we volunteered at a local community garden. I would love to find
ways to integrate service learning into my lesson plans.
It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be compassionate,
enthusiastic, intelligent teacher who will make a positive contribution to your school district and
larger community. I would welcome an interview and hope to hear from you at your earliest
