Ms. Angie Mendoza I. INTRODUCTION The Job Fair was held on February 8, 2019 at Arellano University Annex 3 Room 305. The event was organized by the Senior High School Department to help students explore possible career paths and opportunities after graduation. Various companies and organizations were present to promote job openings, internships, and volunteer programs for senior high school and college students. II. ACTIVITIES The Job Fair started at exactly 8:00 AM. Upon arrival, students were asked to register and get their name tags. We were then free to visit the different booths set up around the room. Representatives from the participating companies and organizations greeted students and provided information materials about their respective careers

I.INTRODUCTION

February 7, 2019 was the day wherein our seminar scheduled. We


started at 8:35am in Arellano University room . Our seminar was lead by our
guest speaker Ms.Angie Mendoza who talk about Personality Development .
And the HR worker who discussed about Performing Arts and theater.They
taught us everything we need to know about careers we may have once we
pursueour desired field, The Dos and Don'ts during an Interview, Senior High
School Immersion,everything about Performing Arts and theater and
Personal Development. But what caught me the most is the 18 Carats of
Gold to Develop a Winning Personality as it will really help an individual to
be a better one and grow himself or herself.

II. KNOWLEDGE/LEARNING

Acquired Personality Development was already taught to us by


Ms.Angie Mendoza. Personality is an integrated organization of physical,
emotional, intellectual, social, psychological and spiritual characteristics of
an individual,it is natural and can develop while Development is the on-
going process. Also to develop a winning personality, there are 18 Carats of
Gold to achieve it; (1) Be Yourself. Ms.Mendoza said, "Be the first rate of
yourself than second of others." You should widen your knowledge and
understanding towards different areas. (2) Adaptable to Change. Always
prepare yourself to the changes since change is the only consistent thing in
this world. (3) Ability to Smile. It is the common attitude of Filipinos,
regardless of difficulties in our lives. It can be a weapon to connect, to
inspire, and to have colleagues. (4) Think and Feel Good about Yourself.
Think up the worst, than to play safe. (5) An Attitude of Gratitude. It is the
quality of being thankful. (6) Learning from Failure. (7) Having Clear Goals.
(8) Respect and Value for People. Give respect and you get respect as well.
(9) Clarity in Communication. (10) Free from Envy and Ego. Always put
yourself in the ground and be humble. (11) Don't Complain or Criticize what
You cannot Change. You should be a good role model towards others in
order to be an effective leader,do good what you want them to follow. (12)
Give Honest Sincere Acknowledgement. Saying "Thank You" can have a big
impact to other people. (13) Challenging your Belief and Fear. You cannot
move further unless you move your foot forward. (14) Stop Procrastination.
Do everything now and don't leave work undone. (15) Making Right
Decisions at Right Time. (16) Never Give Up. Try and try until you succeed.
(17) Continuously Polish Yourself. Never stop learning and just like in
relationships, if you think that you are not growing anymore, then leave.
(18) Taking regular action. Wherein Do it and act now. That's all about I've
learned to Ms.Angie Mendoza when she discussed about the 18 Carats of
Gold. And next is Knowledge about Senior High School Immersion is also
taught to us. That first, a person who finds job consider his/her salary, if the
location of the company is just near to his/her place, the safety, background
of the company, and the environment. In finding a job, a person must have
his/her resume and for additional information, resume is a "selling"
document where you should sell yourself in a most positive light to show.
Some of the dos and don'ts during an interview are; for the dos, dress
appropriately, be punctual, listen carefully, make eye contact, and be
confident. For the don'ts, don't dress too casually or look untidy, don't lie,
too much of perfume, and don't interrupt the interviewer. Ms. Mendoza gave
us ideas about the most common asked questions in an interview; (1) Say
something about yourself. (2) Your edge to other applicant. (3) The reason
why the company should hire you. (4) Three qualities you can share in the
company. (5) You 5 years from now, and (6) Your weaknesses and
strengths. When our first guest speaker end her lecture,she let us to act the
do’s and dont’s during an interview and signed our time card and after that,
she just gave us an advice and said Good luck to us at exactly 12 pm,the
discussion was done. At exactly 1:30 we started to meet our second
speaker Mrs.Maria Consolacion Celestial Palma , she just tackled about
Performing Arts and Theater. Performing Arts forms a creative activity which
includes a range that are performed in a live audience.There are three types
of Performing Arts,(1)Theater (2)Music(3)Dance.Under the types of
theater,there are drama,Musical theater comedy,tragedy,and
improvisation.After our seminar ends the guest speaker Mrs.Palma let us to
group ourselves and perform in front with any type of performing arts.Some
of my classmates did singing,dancing,spoken poetry,and acting.This is very
fitted in our upcoming tour exposure at PETA wherein we are going to
observe the world of theater.After our performance,at exactly 4:30 the Work
Immersion Program had finished.

III.OBSERVATIONS

The school is well prepared in giving such an successful Work Immersion


Program. The materials and equipments are well prepared and the area is
comfortable .The two latter speaker are well prepared and very
knowledgeable when it comes to giving information to us.Since they’ve
already undergone in this journey,they let give us a tip on how to surpass
this matter.Even they are not a teacher wel,l In fact everyone can be a
teacher as long as they teach and inspire just like the second speaker
Ms.Palma said that she is not a teacher that’s why she has her own way of
deliberating her knowledge about the field that she will teach.They are very
motivational and uplifter speaker.

IV.RECOMMENDATIONS/SUGGESTIONS

The content of the lectures are just partial but informative.My only
concerned is I want to learn more furher about journalism since we are a
humanities,we are the voice in the mass media.I know that there is a lot of
thing to study in this field ,but I understand that the time consumed is just
limited only for 10 hrs.To summarize all,the program is well organized .
