4      TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
          4.1 Basin
Basin in FRP or CONCRETE . The water outlet is either on the lateral side, or on the bottom with special flange to secure complete
drain. So the bacteria growth is impossible in the basin when the tower is empty.
             4.2 Structure and casing
    It is made FRP . So there is no part of the casing in steel, directly in contact with the water. The panels are assembled with stainless
    steel bolting.
          4.3 Fan stack
It is made in FRP, in a single piece. So the roundness is secured for a perfect and regular fan tip clearance. It is located inside the
cooling tower, which combines aesthetic design with limited size.

          4.4 Water distribution system
Water distribution is made of PP pipes through highly efficient water distributors. The nozzles made of polyamide 6 (PA6) distribute the
water uniformly on the whole exchange surface. These nozzles are screwed to the distribution pipes, for easy maintenance and strong
mechanical resistance. They operate under low pressure to reduce drifts : 0.8 mWC, therefore considerably reduce the risk of
bacteriological contamination : indeed, low pressure creates heavier droplets, so less drifts out the cooling tower.
The water nozzles are widely sized to avoid any clogging, even in the case of high suspended solids content.
         4.5 Infill : FREEFILM
The exchange surface, or infill is made of vacuum pressed PVC sheets.
This material is non-putrescible, long lasting, also offers the following benefits:
       − has a very low pressure drop, so low power consumption thanks to the vertical channels,
       − has a good thermal efficiency,
       − is highly resistant to fouling thanks to large size channels : 20 mm.
       − can be used up to 55 °C as standard, and up to 80 °C as option with PP or ABS material
       − is resistant to chemicals.
       − Maximum TSS : 80 ppm.
         4.6   Drift eliminators
 They are made in PVC blades; their high efficiency secures at least 0.01 % of the recirculating water flow.
         4.7 Mechanical parts
The standard coupling (belt or gear) has been totally simplified: DIRECT COUPLING fan to low speed motor. Therefore, the
maintenance operation and costs are drastically reduced.
