Rules and Procedure for SPOT Round of B.Tech.
and
B.Arch. (IGDTUW only) Admissions 2019
(DTU, IGDTUW, IIITD and NSUT)

The SPOT ROUND consists of the vacant seats (if any) available in DTU, NSUT, IIIT-D &
IGDTUW after internal upgradation of seats.
1. Who are eligible?
A. Fresh Candidates (who are not yet registered with JAC Delhi
2019):
a. A Candidate need to first register himself/herself for JAC Delhi-2019 by paying Rs.
1500/- (Non-Refundable) for participating in JAC DELHI 2019 Counselling.
b. Then the candidates have to pay Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000/-
(Rupees Ten Thousands only) through using JAC Payment Gateway facility
accessible on the JAC website in the candidate’s login account.
c. The Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000/- is refundable / adjustable.
B. Already Registered Candidates
Candidates who have already done ONLINE registration after paying Rs. 1500/- for
participating in JAC DELHI 2019 Counselling and fall under any of the following
categories are eligible to participate in SPOT Round:
i) The registered candidates who have not taken admission in any of the participating
Institute/University of JAC DELHI 2019 up to fourth Round.
ii) The registered candidates who have not been offered any seat up to Fourth Round.
iii)Those candidates who have withdrawn their admission from any of four participating
University/Institute at any stage of Online Counselling.
iv) The registered candidates
a) Who were allotted seat in some round but did not report for admission at
DTU/NSUT/IIITD/IGDTUW.
b) Who were allotted seat in some round of counselling, but seat was cancelled due to
some deficiency.

v) IGDTUW admitted candidate whose rank is lower than Base Cut-off Rank provided
by JAC DELHI 2019.
2. Procedure for SPOT ROUND
The above mentioned eligible candidates have to follow the following steps in order to participate
in Spot Round:
i) Candidates have to submit their willingness for participation in Spot Round after login
into their account on JAC DELHI 2019 website from 24.07.2019(10:00AM) to
25.07.2019 (11:59PM).
ii) The willing candidates have to pay Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000/-
(Rupees Ten Thousands only) through ONLINE (Credit Card / Net banking) mode
or through cash payment at the any branch of State Bank of India using the SBI e-
Challan. This Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000/- is refundable / adjustable.
IGDTUW admitted Students mentioned in 1.v above need not pay Rs. 10,000.
iii) If a candidate has already paid Rs. 95000/- and have not been admitted yet, NEED NOT
PAY Spot Round Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000/- , however such candidates MUST
register themselves by showing willingness for the SPOT Round participation through
their JAC Login.
iv) After completing the above Steps i & ii, all interested candidates must get a Demand Draft
issued for Rs. 85,000/- in favour of “JAC DELHI 2019 ADMISSION FEE” payable at New
Delhi before reporting for the SPOT Round Venue.
v) Following category of Candidates are not required to get a Demand Draft of Rs.
85,000/- issued:
a. IGDTUW admitted candidate whose rank is lower than Base Cut-off Rank
provided by JAC DELHI 2019. They need not even pay Spot Round
Participation Fee of Rs. 10,000 They have to submit the willingness to
participate in SPOT Round.
b. Candidates who have paid academic fee of Rs. 95000 for admission and later
withdrawn admission.
c. Candidates who were allotted seat and have paid academic fee of Rs. 95000 but
their admission was not confirmed.
vi) Note that, entry to the SPOT Round Venue will be permitted only after showing the
receipt of payment of Spot Round Participation Fee as mentioned in Point (ii or iii) and
Demand Draft of Rs. 85,000/- as mentioned in Point (iv) except for candidates covered in
Point (v) above.
vii) Candidate must Report at SPOT Round Venue, DTU as per the schedule (available at Page
5-7 of this Notice) along with all the documents mentioned in Para 5.8 of Information
Brochure JAC 2019. Candidates must bring all original documents and one set of self-
attested photocopies of these documents.

3. Important Instructions
i) The candidate has to physically report for Spot Round Counselling. No request will
be entertained except in the case of emergencies permitted by Chairman, JAC Delhi
2019.
ii) The Choices filled by the candidates for earlier Rounds of Online Counselling will
not be valid for this SPOT Round of Counselling. However, the candidates are advised
to choose the available seat in SPOT round wisely.
iii) Candidates, who were allotted seat in earlier rounds of JAC Counselling under some
reserved category but could not produce the appropriate certificate for availing reservation
in the applicable region, at the time of document verification, may now participate in
SPOT Round in their reserved category if they have an appropriate certificate now in their
possession for availing reservation in the respective regions. They should get their
category modified/updated at all participating Universities/Institutes in their admission
offices on or before July 25, 2019 (5:00PM) to participate in SPOT round.
iv) Allotments for the vacant seats in this round will be made on the basis of the JEE (Main)
2019 CRL Rank / IIITD Rank exclusively as per the eligibility conditions in the respective
categories / institutes and willingness of the candidates, who are physically present at the
Venue.
v) It is mandatory to produce original documents/certificate for verification otherwise “no
seat will be offered”. However, if original documents have been submitted with other
institution, then proof must be produced for verification along with attested set of
documents.
vi) If a candidate fails to deposit the admission fee draft immediately at the time of seat
allotment for whatsoever reason, the seat allotted to him/her will be immediately cancelled
and offered to the next candidate on the basis of merit.
vii) No deficiency will be allowed in the spot round, the candidature will be cancelled at once
and no representation will be entertained thereafter under any circumstances.
viii) Non-reporting of the candidate as per the schedule and within the stipulated time, forfeits
the claim for admission for the reasons whatsoever may be and no request will be
entertained thereafter.
ix) JAC DELHI 2019 reserves the right to make any modification/ alteration in the
process/procedure with prior information to the available aspirants at that moment of time.
4. Required Documents
i) Receipt of the applicable fee payment Rs. 10,000/-.

ii) Demand Draft of Rs. 85,000/- issued in favour of “JAC DELHI 2019 ADMISSION FEE”
payable at New Delhi OR printout of Fee Receipt of Rs. 95000 (if already paid –refer
2.v.b,c)
iii) Online Registration Form downloaded from JAC Delhi website.
iv) Three passport size photographs
v) Self-attested copies of Admit Card and Score Card of JEE(Main)-2019.
vi) Original and self-attested copy of marks sheet of the qualifying examination i.e. Class XII
or equivalent.
vii) Original and self-attested copy of Date of Birth certificate as indicated in High School or
equivalent examination i.e. Class X.
viii) Original and self-attested copy for the reserved category / sub-category, if other than the
General Category.
ix) Medical fitness certificate original in case of General/SC/ST/CW/OBC/SG/TP/CW/KM (Format
available at 7.2 in the brochure)
x) PD sub-category:
a. A certificate of physical disability issued by the Competent Authority as per the provision of the
Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 in the prescribed format as given under the Act.
b. The Candidate with benchmark disabilities shall produce the medical certificate issued by the
Govt. Hospitals duly notified by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi/Other State government and further
duly verified by the Chief Medical Officer of the concerned Government Hospital.
c. A certificate duly recommended by Vocational Rehabilitation Centre for the handicapped, 9-11
Vikas Marg, Karkardooma, Delhi-110092.
Important Note: All the certificates claiming reservation under various categories / sub-
categories must have been issued on or before Spot round.
