A. Poster Making Contest


Mechanics
1 participant per section
Oil pastel as coloring material
Black pentel pen for lines
2 hours contest time
½ illustration board

Criteria:
Relativity to the theme 50%
Originality 30%
Color Harmony 20%

B. Essay Writing Contest


Mechanics
1 participant per section
Yellow pad paper, black ball pen
Minimum of 250 words, maximum of 300 words
2 hours contest time

Relativity to the theme 50%
Originality and Communication 30%
Content and Form 20%

Per Grade Level Contests (Group)

A. Simple Landscaping (Flowering Plants)


Mechanics
1 Garden per grade level (to be assigned)
2 weeks preparation time (checking date will be confirmed)
Beautification of assigned garden by simple landscaping using flowering plants
Any landscaping materials but strictly no professional help.

Criteria:
Visual Appeal and Impact 50%
Uniqueness and Design 30%
Over-All Impact 20

B. Jingle Writing & Singing Contest
Mechanics
1 group per year level
Minimum of 3 members, maximum of 5 members
It must be musically and lyrically original
2-3 minutes playing time
Written lyrics of entries must be submitted 2 days before the contest date using a generic
format.

Criteria:
Relativity to the theme 50%
Originality and Composition 30%
Musicality and Performance 20%

C. Chef’s on Parade (Cooking Contest)


Mechanics
2 pairs per year level
Grade 7: Healthy Sandwiches (2 hours)
Grade 8: Fruit Preservation (3 hours)
Grade 9: Vegetable Pickling (3 hours)
Grade 10: Meat Processing (Preservation) (3 hours)
Grade 11: Fruit Carving (3 hours)
Grade 12: Vegetable Carving (3 hours)
Tools, utensils, equipment, ingredients as per recipe/category (Strictly no borrowing)

Criteria: (JHS)
Nutritional Value 50%
Palatability 30%
Plating 20%

Criteria: (SHS)
Visual Artistic Appeal 50 %
Workmanship 30%

D. Mass Demonstration
Mechanics
30-40 students in a group (6 grade levels)
Only P.E uniform will be worn as outfits
Simple hand props and/or head dress only
3-4 minutes dancing time
Strictly no choreographers
Calisthenics dance movement will be used only (regardless of the music)

Uniqueness of the Routine (Choreography) 50%
Execution, Timing, Projection & Coordination 30 %
