Efore luc QUICK REFERENCE Tips for NavKal

NavKal is an Electronic Control Module (ECM) Programming Software that replaces all previous
PC based ECM Programming Software (Nets, AutoUpgrade).

Software Features:
 Offline Calibration updating
 Parameter and Horse Power changes
 Program a Blank Module
 On-screen display of vehicle information, Including ECM software Version and Upgrade
availability
 Read and Clear Engine DTCs
 Create Programming Verification Code (PVC)

Requirements:
 Supported EZ-Tech (Win XP or later)
 RP1210B diagnostic interface cable and latest supported drivers
NavKal OVERVIEW

 Before using NavKal for the first time, you must Enter Dealer
Information
 Select “Update Dealer Information” under File on the Menu bar.
Enter Dealer info and click “Save”

 Before connecting to a vehicle, Select Diagnostic Interface under tools


SECTION 1
Connecting to a Vehicle and Updating Calibration Version

11  If calibration update is available, Existing and New Calibration


will be displayed.
  Battery Voltage must be above range to begin
22 programming, NavKal will display highlighted voltage,
RED = 9.0 – 10.4 Volts YELLOW = 10.5 – 12.4 Volts GREEN =
12.5 Volts or higher. Install the Midtronics SMART Charger
before programming. See SFN 07-11 for details.

3 To begin updating, Select “Update Calibration” and Follow

Update/Change Parameter and Horsepower

Note: Case file must be completed before this step


 Select or click on the “Parameter Upgrade” tab. 1
2 Enter Associated Case File Number.

3 Select “Save Request” and follow screen prompts

 Note: See Section 4 “Process Request”

4 Return to Campaigns tab to complete update

populated

RED = Cycle Key OFF YELLOW = Cycle Key ON
SECTION 6
Programming Verification Code (PVC)
Note: After programming is complete under Process Request Tab, status will show
pending PVC.

1  Select Process Request to send history & create a Programming


Verification Code (PVC), a PVC will be generated against the associated
(VIN) number

2  Select view PVC to view or print PVC
