GRAVITY FEED WATER PROJECT
As per the above subject we the Tangori 2 villagers are very much interested with the
construction of gravity feed water project by OXFAM.
We are very thankful for a similar water project constructed at Pambanieng village that
connected one quarter of Tangori 2 village.
However, we are sadly regretting that the Pambanieng gravity feed water project isn’t really
functioning to its full capacity to cater for the peoples need and under pinned are some of
these factors.
1. The integrated approach of water supply, improved sanitation and awareness /training
on hygiene to improve health and wellbeing of community members, in particular for
women and children has lacked.
2. The water is turbid and unsanitary where it’s an advantage in increasing the impact of
water borne disease and hygiene related illnesses, which isn’t safe enough for all at all
ages.
3. Too much ownership for that project and are experiencing closure of supply regularly.
Thus with the above reasons we would like to request your esteemed organisation to assist us
with some funds to improve our water supply. This program will improve the quality of life
of women, men and children through contributing to increase access to safe, adequate and
sustainable water supply, gravity feed water project in Tangori 2 village.
