1. The student is requesting information from the USDA Forest Service for an article about wildfires. 2. Specifically, the student is looking for answers about effective ways to control and extinguish wildfires, given challenges like wind and terrain. 3. A second question is about what can be done to reduce or eliminate artificial (human-caused) wildfires, which are estimated to account for 90% of wildfires. The student wonders if effective supervision programs have been implemented.

information on this website for this paper. Among the websites I have visited, you have helped
me a lot. Your website contains a lot of exclusive information and has a very detailed

Did We Find Effective Ways to Control and Extinguish Wildfire?

According to my understanding, open fires in the wild are associated with local burning
materials. Most of the mountain fireswildfires are mostly dry in the climate, so a lot of
combustibles have accumulated. The more combustibles on mountain, the greater the
wildfire generate. In addition, the wind is also one of the main reasons for the difficulty of
extinguishing wildfires. But wind is almost uncontrollable. Moreover, because the change of
the terrain will cause changes in wind direction and wind speed, which also causes great
trouble for the specific fire fight work. So, I came to the conclusion that, inIn the face of forest
fires, what we can do is actually very limited. When the fire is very strong, the water and flame
retardant dropped by the helicopter usually do not help, the firefighters use water to
extinguish the fire, but because the temperature of the fire is too high, they cannot get close
to the core.
In this case, what can we do, we can only let the wildfire spread or we have an effective way Formatted: Line spacing: single
to extinguish the wildfire?

What Can We Do to Reduce or Eliminate Artificial Wildfire?

The main causes of wildfire are two main categories: artificial fire and natural fire. In this case,
I learned from the information that the wildfire generated by man-made fire accounts for
nearly 90%, which means that many wildfires are produced because of smoking in the wild,
cooking, heating, etc. The main causes of wildfire are two main categories: artificial fire and
natural fire. Among them, I learned from the information that the wildfire generated by man-
made fire accounts for nearly 90%. This leads my question, many wildfires are produced
because of smoking in the wild, cooking, heating, etc., . Bbut the wildfire produced by lightning
or high-temperature spontaneous combustion only accounts for less than 10%.
So since so many wildfires are produced by humans, they should be manageable and
preventable. But why are there so many wildfires every year, have we implemented any
programs or effective means to supervise those who use fire sources in the forest?

Thank you so much for all you have done for me and for taking the time to review this request.
If you need any additional information, please contact me via email or phone. Thank you for
your consideration and support.
Sincerely,
Aobo Hu
