you, my brothers and sisters, that I
have greatly sinned, in my thoughts
and in my words, in what I have done,
and in what I have failed to do,
through my fault, through my fault,
through my most grievous fault;
Therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-

you, my brothers and sisters, to pray
for me to the Lord our God.

Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
All: Amen.
Commentator: Let us now be seated for the Liturgy of the Word.
FIRST READING
A reading from the Book of Deuteronomy (Dt. 7: 6-11)
5 Liturgy
Moses said to the people: “You are a people holy to the LORD,
your God; the LORD, your God, has chosen you from all the peoples
on the face of the earth to be a people specially his own. It was not
because you are more numerous than all the peoples that the LORD
set his heart on you and chose you; for you are really the smallest of
all peoples. It was because the LORD loved you and because of his
fidelity to the oath he had sworn to your ancestors, that the LORD
brought you out with a strong hand and redeemed you from the
house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. I Know,
then, that the LORD, your God, is God: the faithful God who keeps
covenant mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love
him and keep his commandments, but who repays with destruction
those who hate him; he does not delay with those who hate him, but
makes them pay for it. Therefore carefully observe the
commandment, the statutes and the ordinances which I command
you today.”
The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM (Ps. 33: 1-2, 4-5, 11-12)
R. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
6 Liturgy
Upright is the word of the LORD,
and all his works are trustworthy,
He loves justice and right;
of the kindness of the LORD the earth is full.
R. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
See, the eyes of the LORD are upon those who fear him,
upon those who hope for his kindness,
To deliver them from death,
and preserve them in spite of famine.
R. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
Our soul waits for the LORD,
who is our help and our shield.
May your kindness, O LORD, be upon us,
who have put our hope in you.
R. The earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
SECOND READING
A reading from the Letter of Paul to the Ephesians (Eph. 1:3-10)
7 Liturgy
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has
blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavens, as he
chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and
without blemish before him. In love he destined us for adoption to
himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for
the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved.
In him we have redemption by his blood, the forgiveness of
transgressions, in accord with the riches of his grace that he lavished
upon us. In all wisdom and insight, he has made known to us the
mystery of his will in accord with his favor that he set forth in him as
a plan for the fullness of times, to sum up all things in Christ, in heaven
and on earth.
The Word of the Lord.
All: Thanks be to God.
Commentator: Let us all stand to honor the Holy Gospel.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
To be read by the Lector:
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
Take my yoke upon you, says the Lord,
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble of heart.
R. Alleluia, alleluia.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
PRESIDER: (says quietly) Cleanse my heart and my lips, Almighty God, that
May worthily proclaim your Holy Gospel.
8 Liturgy
PRESIDER: The Lord be with you.
All: And with your spirit.
PRESIDER: A reading from the holy Gospel
according to Matthew (MT 11:25-30)

.
At that time Jesus said in reply, “I give praise
to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for
although you have hidden these things from the
wise and the learned you have revealed them to
the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your
gracious will. All things have been handed over to
me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the
Father, and no one knows the Father except the
Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal
him.
9 Liturgy
“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you
and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of
heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

everywhere to give you thanks, Lord,
Holy Father, almighty and eternal
God, through Christ our Lord.
For raised up high on the Cross, he
gave himself up for us with a
wonderful love and poured out Blood
and water from his pierced side, the
wellspring of the Church’s
Sacraments, so that, won over to the
open Heart of the Savior, all might
draw water joyfully from the springs
of salvation.
15 Liturgy
And so, with all the Angels and
Saints, we praise you, as without end
we acclaim:
Sanctus: Holy, holy, holy (sung)
Commentator: Let us all kneel.
PRESIDER: You are indeed Holy, O Lord,
the fount of all holiness.
Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we
pray, by sending down your Spirit
upon them like the dewfall,
So that they may become for us the
Body and Blood of our Lord, Jesus
Christ.
At the time he was betrayed and
entered willingly into his Passion, he
took bread and, giving thanks, broke
it, and gave it to his disciples, saying:
16 Liturgy
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU,
AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS
IS MY BODY, WHICH WILL
BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
In a similar way, when supper was
ended, he took the chalice and, once
more giving thanks, he gave it to his
disciples, saying:
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU,
AND DRINK FROM IT, FOR
THIS IS THE CHALICE OF
MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD
OF THE NEW AND
ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED
OUT FOR YOU AND FOR
MANY FOR THE
FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF
ME.
17 Liturgy
PRESIDER: The mystery of faith.
All: (Sung) We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your
Resurrection until you come again.
PRESIDER: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
of his Death and Resurrection, we offer
you, Lord, the Bread of life and the
Chalice of salvation, giving thanks that
you have held us worthy to be in your
presence and minister to you.
Humbly we pray that, partaking of the
Body and Blood of Christ, we may be
gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
Remember, Lord, your Church, spread
throughout the world, and bring her to the
fullness of charity, together with Francis
our Pope, Mel Rey our Bishop, Emilio
18 Liturgy
our Bishop Emeritus, and all the
clergy.
Remember also our brothers and
sisters who have fallen asleep in the
hope of the resurrection, and all who
have died in your mercy: welcome
them into the light of your face. Have
mercy on us all, we pray, that with the
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
with Saint Joseph her most chaste
spouse, with the blessed Apostles,
and all the Saints who have pleased
you throughout the ages, we may
merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and
may praise and glorify you through
your Son, Jesus Christ.
