Champaran Satyagraha: A Historic Movement

The exhibition "Satyagraha se Swachhagraha" marks 100 years of the historic Champaran Satyagraha led by Mahatma Gandhi in 1917. It aims to link the principles of non-violent civil disobedience (Satyagraha) with the current Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Mission). The Champaran Satyagraha was Gandhi's first use of non-violent protest in India and resulted in tenants being freed from unfair contracts and debt. It established Gandhi as a leader in the Indian independence movement and demonstrated the power of Satyagraha as a tactic for social and political change.
