SUB: Admission to one year Diploma Course in Sports Coaching for the Academic
Session 2019-2020.

Please find enclosed herewith a Circular No. 35-1/Acad./NIS/Dip./2019 dated 15-04-

2019 from Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports Patiala on the
subject cited above. Sports Authority of India has invited applications for admission to one year
Diploma Course in Sports Coaching for the Academic Session 2019-2020 going to be started
from July 2019.

The disciplines in which the course is to be conducted, name of the centres, eligibility
criteria and fee structure are mentioned in the attached circular of Sports Authority of India.

Last date for submission of application form is 15-05-2019.

SESSION 2019-2021
LAST DATE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF FORM: 15-5-2019
We are glad to inform you that next Academic Session of M.Sc (Sports Coaching) Two Year
course affiliated to Punjabi University, Patiala, will commence at SAI NS NIS, Patiala in Second
Week of July, 2019 in different sports disciplines details given as under:-
1. Athletics 2. Basketball 3. Football 4. Gymnastics 5. Hockey 6. Swimming
7. Volleyball 8. Weightlifting 9. Wrestling
SPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE COURSE IN ANY
DISCIPLINE DUE TO INADEQUATE RESPONSE OR OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE REASONS.
Qualifications for M.Sc (Sports Coaching) (Two Years Course )
i) Graduate Degree from any recognized Indian/Foreign University
ii) Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAI NS NIS, Patiala or its other academic Centers with
minimum 60% marks.
iii) Aptitude for research work
iv) Proficiency in Sports
v) Age not more than 45 years, on the date of commencement of the course(Upper age
limit can be relaxed up to three years for the candidates belongs to SC/ST/OBC and
International Sports Person).
vi) The selection of the candidate will be based on the performance in the admission tests
and interview.
FEE STRUCTURE FOR THE M.Sc. (SPORTS COACHING)
Amount mentioned below from S. No. 1 to S. No. 8 is to be paid once at the time of
admission.
Boarding and Lodging will be charged on monthly basis as mentioned below at S. No.
10 and 11.

Note : M.Sc. ( Sports Coaching) students wish to stay outside the campus must seek
prior permission from the Competent Authority.

The last date for receipt of duly completed applications at SAI NS NIS Patiala is 15-5-2019.
Admission tests will be held in the last week of June and the course will start in second week of July,
2019 positively.

The application form can be downloaded from our website (www.nsnis.org). If the candidate
who applies on the downloaded application form, he/she must enclose a demand draft of Rs. 1000/-
with application form, drawn in favor of Executive Director (Academics) so that the application can
be considered.
