Cross Examination of Dra

The psychiatrist testified that he had been treating the accused for PTSD for 3 years due to sleepless nights and hallucinations relating to a traumatic experience. The hallucinations involved reenacting the trauma. In the psychiatrist's opinion, due to the traumatic experience the accused could harm or kill others. The psychiatrist was aware the accused owned a gun as a retired police officer, but had not advised him to get rid of weapons. The prescribed medications included Fluoxetine and Sertraline, which can cause strange dreams as a side effect, so the accused's PTSD may have been exacerbated by the medication.
