Brief History of Bali


The 2018 tsunami in the British Indian Ocean Territory which located near Lombok really
affected the economy and it destroyed some of the tourism places in Bali. This catastrophe
made the Balinese people to think more of the future. Now there have been tsunami drills,
which helped the people to stay alert and help the tourist to be safer.

Through many years, Bali has become one of the perfect place to live after retirement.
Many Westerners lived in Bali and work with the locals in the tourism area. The warm
climate of Bali made possible of various plants to grow easily such as rice and corns. It
boosts the economy of Bali while the warm sea water qualified those with an adventurous
heart to explore the islands near Bali on a boat journey. Tourist numbers are increasing
every year, more and more hotels are being built and many of Bali’s area are being
developed.

Where is Bali?
Bali is a province in Indonesia and the capital city of this province is Denpasar. Bali is also
one of the island in Nusa Tenggara with the size of 5.780 km2. The main island of Bali is
surrounded by many smaller islands such as Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Ubud.
These islands are accessible using ferries or even speedboats.

How to Get Around Phuket


There are hundreds of flights to Bali’s airport which is Ngurah Rai International Airport. It
takes you around 2hr to fly from Jakarta to Bali.

Drive for 25 hours or you can take a bus for 30 hours from Jakarta to Bali.

Travel around Bali with local shuttles called “angkot” and “ojek”, rent cars, motorbikese, or
even using GO-JEK.

Stay in Bali for a few days and you will feel like living near a beach.

Bali is a magnificent heaven decorated with beautiful oceans and hills. White sandy
beaches, monkey forest, clear water sea, and tourism spotted can be find in Bali. The most
beautiful relaxation places are found on the North part of Bali which is Ubud.

This island has a wonderful history and it makes it into an international island with an
international lifestyle due to the variety of the races, which includes Japanese, Indian,
Arabic, Western, and Thailand citizen.
