ONE NATION – ONE INDIA
A new slogan is doing rounds these days – One Nation , One Culture, One India. We are so obsessed with this
now adays that we have not even thought for 1 second that it goes directly against what our country was known
for – Unity In Diversity.
In a time when we have stopped thinking about others just because we are not getting impacted with something,
even the slogan of One Nation, One India seems vague. At the same time when media channels were busy
boasting about how much better we are from Pakistan ( like we have gone down so low that we are comparing
ourselves with Pakistan and feeling proud, it’s just like when Rank 30 student compares himself with Rank 36 in
Class of 40 students and feel proud) , something else had been going on in Assam which is NRC.
NRC
In a country where poverty has failed to subside, we are spending our money and resources on removing illegal
immigrants from India and we have answer for this too - ( India kisi ki dharamshala nahi hai ) - but yeah ‘Athithi
Devo Bhava’ ( but if you are not invited, you are thrown away). My question is it so important at this point of
time ? Anyway, final list of NRC came and 19 Lacs people names were not in that list. The list included many
people families whose father’s had in fact fought against illegal immigrants in Assam !!! These includes poor
families, and now they have to contest to prove they belong to this country. Can you imagine if you had to prove
that you belong to this country? How emphatatic you are? How ONE you are? How ONE is this New
India?Remember, just because you are not getting impacted and you don’t give a shit, there would come a time
when something like this might happen to you and others won’t give a shit.
Article 370 and Kashmir
Article 370 might have been scrapped for betterment of Kashmir, but do you feel empathy for people living there?
Our noble media went to great lengths to show everything is normal in Kashmir. Every major leader was
portrayed as terrorist-funders. Mehbooba Mufti who had been in government for 6 years in which time period of 3
years with BJP is included is reponsible for terrorism in Kashmir for about 30-40 years?
BBC , Reuters and Al-Jajeera showed violence in valeey , but not a single report in media was shown. Even,
footage of Jammu were used and shown as situation of Kashmir in broad daylight by our media. Instead, our
anchors did not spend a second to call these fake news. Our government denied reports , but then agreed to it few
days after. This is sedition of highest level. Tell me, how ONE our India is now? Do we feel for 1 second how
those people are living for more than 1 month in such situation? Isn't it the killing of human rights? But, hey who
am I to judge?

at some level, then who am I to judge? Right, ain't it?
Democracy
Now as discussed above, how 'Unity in Diversity' is changing to 'One Nation, One Culture, One India' - like we
were not One before - and even we are not living upto the slogan itself because we don't give a shit until we are
affected by it. Our country is famous for another thing- 'largest democracy' on planet.
Democracy - It means that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at end of day every one is tolerant enough to
respect or even if disagree non-violently to that opinion. Now, in past few years if you don't believe that this term
has been violated in our country multiple times - then either you are naive or stupid. But hey, this is my opinion.
Do you feel like hitting me for it ? Then , there's your answer.
Individuals who have come out in open and criticized government have been coined multiple terms ( from anti-
national to urban naxal). New narratives have been derived everyday. It's alright if you don't agree with their
sentiments, but not agreeing to majority doesn't make me or them anti-national. Don't believe me? You must be
follower of US Donald Trump's ideology , huh !! But, do you know how much is he criticized openly there? And
you would be surprised to know that people able to criticize him freely are not termed as anti-nationals.
Eminem is just an example, there are multiple others who are able to do so with freedom. This is called 'freedom
of speech'. Our new India has made sure that there are just 2 kind of people: a) one with majority b) One against
majority. In a way, this has killed our democracy. Our media has done an excellent job in doing so by creating
false narratives to everything. Take for example, people like Kunal Kamra. Kunal Kamra is a comedian whose
main content is on current government, and he has been termed as anti-national !! His shows have been canceled.
Do you feel anything? Still, anything? Even an ounce? No. Here are few examples of anti-nationals in India where
definition of anti-national is not agreeing or questioning government because now our government decides who is
patriotic in our new India!!

Remember, there might come a day when your business might suffer and then you will go to media and no one
will show your story or worse you would be termed as an anti-national.
My question to you is : How empathic are you to others? Do you look away when farmers are stripped of their
lands and commiting suicide? Do you look away when others are being lynched by mob? Do you look away when
people are country are blacked out for more than 1 month in Kashmir? Do you look away when citizen of our
country are asked to prove in court that they belong to our country? Do you look away when thousands of peoples
have lost their job? Then which India do you belong to : 'Unity in Diversity' or 'One Nation, One India'? Answer is
NEITHER.
Economy
There was a time when people used to question on jobs, inflation, etc. Now, even if jobs are lost in thousands and
lacs , no one is questioning anything just because 'THEY' are not getting impacted and they have their jobs. No
one is reporting on strikes of thousands of engineers or other various industries. Because our 'NEW INDIA' does
not want that. We are living in an era where we believe we are 'world gurus', where we are unwilling to accept our
shortcomings.
But, there is an answer to everything for us, right? Economy? Oh, it's better than Argentina. How many of you
know Argentina is on verge of bankruptcy? How many know that current GDP is even lower than one when world
rcession came in 2008?

In our ‘New
India’, we
have
stopped
asking
questions
allowing
the
government
full
autonomy. They are not governing us, but ruling us and we are happily celebrating being slaved. We don’t even
realize that we are destroying generations, our society is going backwards. We are ashaming the hard work of our
ISRO scientists by calling it success of our government. Must be thinking, what am I talking? Don’t believe me, I
am no one, believe the Chandrayan 1 succesfull mission. Imagine that mission happening currently, all the credit
of scientists would have been given to our government.
Isn’t it ironical that we were counting on a scientific mission to be succesfull by doing ‘havan’?
But, who am I to judge? This is our ‘New India’.
