Luna the Unicorn
Materials needed to complete this pattern
1. Three colors of acrylic yarn (Vanna's Choice Beige , White and dusty rose are used in these
photos)
2. Polyfil stuffing
3. A pair of plastic safety lock eyes ( I used oval shaped)
4. Small piece of felt for embroidering face and locking eyes
5. Embroidering floss
6. Long doll needle to sew button joints and embroider face
7. Yarn needle to sew together Gurumi parts
8. Four medium size buttons
9. H/8-5.00mm crochet hook
Tips: How to make a magic loop? Google youtube and search “how to crochet a magic loop” to
find a video on how to make. Or Ch 2 and complete first Rnd in second Ch from hook at the
beginning of every round.
When adding safety lock eyes and mouth use a piece of felt on the inside of head. This will
help support the eyes and mouth. Make sure to push eyes through a stitch and not a hole
between stitches.
How to sew an invisible stitch? Visit youtube and search “how to crochet- sewing an invisible
or mattress stitch” and find a video on how to do.

Fold ear and sew to head
Corn Starting at tip of corn using beige yarn make a magic loop

Should have 14-15 strands for the mane
Bind off and sew along back of head and neck
Tail Starting with dusty pink yarn make a magic loop
Rnd 1 6 Sc in magic loop (6 sts)
Sl st in next Sc and Ch 18 sts
Turn and Sl st across 18 sts
Rep last two lines around the 6 sts in magic loop
Should have 6-7 long strands for Luna's tail
Bind off and sew to bottom
