CARING FOR YOUR WOOLLEN
GARMENTS
There are so many reasons why wool is the
perfect fibre – it’s breathable, soft, static
resistant, repels dirt, is available in an array
of colours and is fashionable to wear. It is
simple to keep your wool clothes in top
condition, and if cared for correctly, your
wool will last a lifetime. Here are some easy
tips on caring for woollen garments:

TIPS FOR PIPING BAKED
GOODS
To minimise the chances of a piping disaster,
here are our tips for perfecting this intricate skill.
฀฀ ฀ ฀ ฀ ฀ ฀ ฀
envision what it is you want to create.
Sketch ideas down on a piece of paper
and decide exactly where you are going
to place each design.
฀฀ Once you have an idea of the design
you want to achieve, it’s time to get the
icing into a good consistency. If you see air
bubbles, remove them before you begin
piping by gently squeezing on the bag
before tying off the end.
฀฀ ฀It is best to practice guiding the
icing rather than forcing it to go where you
want it to. Keep the tip of the piping bag
away from the cake and let the icing fall,
while guiding it in the direction you want.
฀฀ ฀ ฀ ฀The best way to put
your piping designs to the test is to try them
out on a wine glass or glass bottle. This will
allow you to practice the technique on a
round, upright object similar to that of a cake.
