The concentration ranges given below provide ranges. The dosage should be confirmed in
practical tests using the active formulation.
For use as a preservative in manufacturing dry film paints, stains and latex emulsions:
Add the product at the end of the manufacturing process and allow to mix thoroughly to be
adequately dispersed in the paint. Use levels for protection on painted surfaces range from
0.1-2.0% in wet paint.
For paper coatings: This product is used to prevent mold or mildew in coatings that are
applied to paper and cardboard substrates such as corrugated cardboard or soap wrappers,
wall covers, non-food packaging materials and non-food contact paper tapes at use levels
from 0.05-2.0% (15-750 mg/m2 dry fiber).
For plastic and plastic coatings: For the control of surface mildew growth on plastic or
plastic coated items such as shower curtains, cable and wire insulation, sun umbrellas,
polymer furniture, filter media, polymer components of carpet, for example carpet backing.
The polymer component of plastics or plastic coating is typically PVC polyurethane, and
elastomer or rubber, neoprene, polystyrene, polyolefin, polycarbonate, etc. Use levels range
