First, tune your guitar down to Drop-D

To kick things off, note that the tabs below assume you’re in drop-d tuning. This means you want to tune your low E-string
down one whole step so that it’s a D instead of an E. Your 6 strings should be, from thick to thin, DADGBE.

General chords needed

With your guitar in drop-d tuning, here’s how you play the e –––2–––––0–––––3–––––0–––––0––––
general chords used throughout this song. The D, Em, and B –––3–––––0–––––0–––––3–––––2––––
G are the ones that have a slightly different bent to do the G –––2–––––0–––––0–––––0–––––0––––
thickest (lowest) string being a whole step off of its normal D –––0–––––2–––––0–––––2–––––2––––
tuning. A –––0–––––2–––––x–––––0–––––0––––
D –––0–––––2–––––5––––––––––––––––

Song structure
Next, understand this song uses these four sequences. These repeat per each verse.

Sequence 1 D-riff #1 (Intro, no vocals)

Sequence 2 Em -------> D-riff #2 “Come a little bit closer, hear what I have to say…”

Sequence 3 G --------> D-riff #1 “But there’s a full moon rising, let’s go dancing in the light”

Sequence 4 A7sus4 ---> A7 “Because I’m still in love with you, I wanna see you dance again”

After you know the structure, the nexdt (and hardest part) is learning the two main D-riffs used in the song. Here’s the tabs,
with general strumming guidance shown:

(use same chord progressions for second verse)

When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart

But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye

Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
