MAIN ACTIVITIES :
ü Ensure that Contractor personnel attend Safety Talk prior work commencement and
adhere to all relevant local HSE requirements/procedures. Ensure that relevant PPE is
used.
ü Review piping and mechanical work-pack Documentation Requirements for
Installation, Fabrication, Testing and Inspection to ensure that all the verifications have
been carried out and the appropriate check list been completed and signed off properly;
ü Review specifications, codes, standards, procedures and verify where exceptions are
taken together with the necessary engineering approval sign off. Ensure all referenced
documents (latest revisions) are included in the work pack and that the
Installation/Fabrication Contractor understands and complies with the requirements for
specification and quality;
ü Review the Isometric drawing for the piping and mechanical installation to ensure that
the latest revision of the isometric drawings are included in the work pack.
ü Verify that Contractors material traceability and inspection/testing documentation is
properly developed in accordance with the Project procedures. Verify materials
correlation with certificates and compliance with codes and approved specifications.
Review the material list for the work pack with respect to the Isometric Drawing

ü Monitor suppliers/contractors works for compliance to ensure that all required NDT
examination are carried out by the contractor in accordance to the approved ITP, review
and approve the reports issued. Ensure that the respective NDT level inspectors
witness UT and review Radiographic films where required by the ITP ensuring that NDT
results meet the specified requirements.
ü Coordinate and inspect the piping mechanical arrangement and alignment are inline
with the design parameters definition requirements. Monitor the final visual and
dimensional checks of completed piping systems;
ü Attend hydro testing of piping and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
ü Coordinate and review the work pack completion inspection and documentation
required for final acceptance and contract close out. Where requirements for Punch
Listing ensue, develop work pack Punch List close out. Ensure that the mechanical
completion dossier is duly completed.
ü Advise promptly QA/QC Engineer of any quality related problem, deviation or non
compliance.
ü Define requirements for preservation of the piping and mechanical installations prior to
commissioning, start up and hand over of the work pack as part of a system or sub-
system.
OTHER ACTIVITIES :
ü Supporting the Engineering staff as per the Quality and integrity management of the
project in Zubair.
ü Maintaining contacts with other disciplines for QC issues inner his Team and
Inspection on-site.
ü Assess Contractor’s QC team performances on site(s) and the share assessment
report with project QC Coordinator.
ü Provide QC and Inspection input as required.
ü Managing, Coordinating and Training the Iraq National inspectors and personnel

Senior QC Inspector, Welding/NDT/Coating

Scope of Responsibilities:
Works as a part of a team of Inspectors and Engineers in ensuring the adherence of the
project to client requirements as well as preset quality standards with regards to
disciplines such as Welding, painting, insulation and NDT.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Study and understand the project scope and specifications as well as the ITP’s
and Method statements with respect paining and insulation.
Receive the RFI (Request for Inspection) from the discipline staff and carry out
the inspection of the painting and insulation as per the ITP, identify any
discrepancies and generate the Non Conformance Report.
Carry out inspection of work in progress including checking if the right
procedure is followed for the welding as well as the check for the qualification
of the welding personnel and the kind of materials being used for the process.
Oversee the NDT process carried out by the sub contractors ensure that the
right joints are considered for the testing as per the ITP. Collect the film from
the sub contactors post NDT and generate reports on the findings.
Ensure that the weather conditions are suitable for painting, check if the right
materials are being used for blasting, check surface profile prior to the painting
process. Generate reports once the painting is completed and submit GOC.
Coordinate with the discipline engineers to ensure corrective action on the
above thereby ensuring the closure of the NC’s raised.
Ensure that necessary levels of reliability in equipment and systems are reached
by the correct specification of requirements through to proper installation,
commissioning and test.
Report any major Quality issues to the Quality Manager of the Project
Management Team.
Coordinate with the Project’s Safety, Environment and certification engineer
and ensure that all statutory requirements are met.
Plan and direct internal and external quality audits as well as analyse the
results, issue audit reports followed by the assessment, monitoring and
verification of the implementation of corrective actions.
Review of all certification and documentation to ensure validity and compliance
with specifications, drawings, manufacturing and inspection test plans.
Liaise with the Engineering Manager for the resolution of construction requests
for clarification, site queries and non-conformances.
Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on the quality status of all
activities with their schedule for completion.
Carry out any other duties as and when required.
