In this lesson, the students are expected to:
1. Identify color harmonies.
2. Make artworks using different color harmonies, and
3. Appreciate color aesthetics in artworks.

Materials : Coloring materials, visual aids, audio file, music player

B. Review
In your previous lesson, you have learned about the five elements of arts. Who can enumerate on
the five elements of arts?
C. Motivation
- Students listen to these lines of the song, “Kaleidoscope World” by Francis M.
Every color and every hue
Is represented by me and you
Take a slide in the slope
Take a look in the kaleidoscope
Spinnin' round, make it twirl
In this kaleidoscope world.
-Teacher asks students these follow up questions about the song:
Could people from different races understand each other?
Could colors be blended into one?
What do we call that process of blending of colors?
(Lead students’ responses to the lesson Color Harmonies.)
D. Unlocking of Terminologies
1. TRIAD - a group or set of three connected people or things.
2. COMPLEMENTARY – colors opposite each other in the color wheel
3. ANALOGOUS – colors that are side by side on the color wheel.
E. Presentation of the Lesson
1. Teacher discusses the following inputs about color and color harmony.
2. Teacher asks students to mix primary colors to come up with another color.
