HADEAN PERIOD

The Hadean time or sometimes called or known as the formation of our very own planet

Earth. It is known happen in a 4.5 to 3.8 billion years ago or older. Some says that it didn’t

consider as an “eon” because it has no rocks that time around and only compose of molten

state.

Some scientist says that during the hadean period our solar system is an accretion disk,

it was like rounded cloud of dusts and gases forming out. It also said that in the middle of the

cloud, some heavy particles combine together because of the gravitational force until the

fusion in the nuclear set it ignite in light and heat. It is also the of course as we know, the birth

of our sun.

In the accretion disk, not only the solar particles are presented. Some particles were

blob together to form a microplanets that is the same to modern asteroids, bigger

planetisimals, and the 8 and other planets in our solar system.

Some scientist also believe that some planets and the planet Earth is molten in this

stage of evolution. As the time goes on, as the Earth cooled, the more the molten iron get

heavy it crumble down into the core, and while the much lighter rock climb up to the surface,

became cool and became crust. The oldest rock is aged approximately 3.8 billion years old in

the Earth. But the meteorites and lunar rocks have been tested approximately 4.5 billion years

old. Because of the happenings, formation of solid rocks, it is where the Earth’s geological

history started.
 Many scientist believed that the Hadean period is when the Earth was formed but the

International Commission on Stratigraphy didn’t recognize this period officially as a no real

strata and profound existed.

Hadean period is described or explained in the best way through divisions into formal

four periods; Cryptic, Basin Groups, Nectarian, Early Imbria. These division is made or inspired

based on the geology of the moon because there was nothing to proof in the survival in the

surface of the Earth.

The Cryptic period in the Hadean time is also known or commonly known as the

“Hidden” period, why? Because this period is explained as the earliest aspect of the Earth. The

cryptic period is determine to last from 4.56 until 4.50 billion years ago. The reason why it’s

named as “cryptic” because they are the same as moon that is being devoid of any preserved

details as of this time. Another reason, it is also thought or to be known as where the moon is

formed during this period. It is proved base on the studies, tests, and calculations of the

meteorites and their own physical models.

Scientist highly presumed that nebula gave birth to the Earth in about 4.56 billion years

ago. Although there is no accurate or enough knowledge to prove it, but the meteorites came

from the oldest basaltic period is enough to support this theory. Because of the high

temperatures and cosmic pressures were responsible for the formation of the basalt, and also

the planetisimal exist at their core very closely.

The Basin groups in Hadean period is a kind of a very long period that covers 550 million

years’ timeframe and lasted in about 4.50 until 3.80 billion years ago. Because of the lack of
evidence of rocks in that period, the lunar geology is the main source for deducing the Earth’s

escapade in that time. Besides, regardless of the significant researches, the early history or

story of the moon was still not sure or clear.

The rocks that found and discovered from the lunar grounds are the oldest. Geologist

think that the lunar crusts are melted and melted again because of the higher frequency in the

early impacts. This period also leave some older rocks which they found out that spread

throughout the surface of the moon. Erosion didn’t take place on the moon’s surface, and as

the result, some and many rocks are survived.

The Earth experience from an advance frequency of the impacts. Zircons and some of

the oldest rocks were establish on the Earth and known that it belongs and happens in this

period. This period also thought that there was a proto crust in the Earth and the crust was only

a basaltic.

Summed up, in this period, it can be said that the Earth is still cooling at the Basin

period, and the liquids especially the water was first appeared probably in 4.4 billion years ago

ease the way to live.

The Nectarian era in hadean eon is lasted 3.95 to 3.85 billion years ago. This period is

only a small part of the hadean eon. The angle of this period is called “Late Heavy

Bombardment” and it is started at this period and still continuing to the Imbrian period.

The Imbrian period in hadean time is known to have been lasted from 3.85 to 3.80

billion years ago. This period is the completing part or scene or happenings of the Hadean time.

There are only two different phases in this period, and each of them is defined as or by their
own particular or commonly features. The early imbrian was being marked because of the two

large craters, the orientale and also the imbrium.
